Hey folks! I've got a 2021 and just completed the GlareFree change in Forscan. I haven't checked to ensure that the auto-leveling and "dance" on startup still works, that's my next task tonight [Verified to work as intended!]. I've read through all 117 pages (whew) of this thread to look for the...
I'm running into a very similar issue with my new-to-me 2021. It's got the original battery, about 30k miles. I'm the second owner.
Since I bought it, I periodically ran into symptoms of battery/charging issues - auto start/stop not working, chimes coming from the IPC. Over the last two weeks...
I put the radio on a Builtright panel on the dash for my Gen2, but on my Gen3, I'm planning on fabricating something similar to this for the center console. I run an Anytone AT-D578UVIII, which doesn't have many aftermarket mounting options, nor a decent non-bluetooth remote faceplate. This is...
Picked up my new trailer and spent the weekend camping through Utah, Idaho, Oregon, and ended up home in Seattle. Besides a few hiccups in the tow module on the Raptor, things moved without any issues! The Ecoboost does a great job hauling the 2,300lbs trailer up mountain passes without breaking...
Hey folks! I've got a sort of question regarding the rain sensing wipers on my '17 Screw. I live in Seattle, where it's an omnipresent drizzle from around October to May every year. I've noticed that even in light drizzle, the rain-sensing wipers start going crazy fast even when set to the...
A few key things that aren't fully covered in the thread linked above. For any sort of first aid or medical, make sure that you a) know how to use every single thing you pack into the kit, and b) you build the kit yourself. It's fine to buy a kit, but take it apart completely and reassemble it...
I have the same question - I would certainly know if I intentionally installed a tune, and I find it very hard to believe that an aftermarket shop would install a tune without telling me.
Believe it or not, it was the OBDII harness and wiring pigtail that goes into the main wiring harness of the truck. It was starting to fail and was shorting out, sending cascading failures through multiple systems. That combined with a faulty steering column control module meant that everything...
On the other hand, this gave me the plausible excuse to my partner so I can get the Mishimoto transmission cooler, so that's on order from SDHQ for installation this fall haha
Yeah, that's my thought too. It was somewhat surprising in this situation. In my past experiences with this same dealer, they were curious about the various mods at worst, and more often were enthusiastic about them.
So I just picked my truck up from the dealership, having provided them all these details. They flashed the TCM, but gave me a *very* hard time about the modifications I've made to the truck. Specifically, they called out the ADD intercooler I installed, claiming that it is blocking the...
I'm sure it's a little of column A, little of column B. Certainly the frame and other parts of the truck affect the overall GVWR, but I have a hunch that the stock suspension is the weakest link in the chain.
Yeah, I booked an appointment at the dealership - closest date is October 3rd. I'll grab the DTCs tomorrow morning and report back, see if anything comes up.
Great idea to check if switching to Sport changes things. Next time this comes up I'll give it a shot.
Hey folks, I have a weird issue that has come up a few times now, so it's time to do some digging. I've searched through as best I can and can't find anything that speaks to this specific issue.
After about 8-9hrs of driving, of which about 5-6hrs is uninterrupted engine running time (i.e...
I wonder how many more miles I have left before I develop those creaks and groans!
re: the drawer access, I can vouch for both 2 and 3. For me, those aren’t problems, since I’m only ever trying to get to the stuff in those drawers when parked and with doors open. My solution to 3 is to only put...
I have the same thing, upgraded from the Oedro bin that everyone recommends. I really like being able to access everything in the storage area without needing to lift the seats up. Very easy install and works like a charm. I wouldn’t trust the locks for more than just accidental open prevention...
I'm wondering if the GVWR is changed at all by the modifications to the suspension. The Eibach and Deavers are obviously much beefier than stock, and I'm guessing it'll raise the viable weight limit. Any thought to how much?
I had similar issues and it turned out to be two root causes: the steering column control module, and the OBDII connector plus pigtail. Both had to be completely replaced.
Did a huge road trip from Seattle up to Vancouver BC, to Banff AB, to Bozeman MT, ending back home in Seattle.
Hauled back three bikes (one road bike, two e-MTBs) from MT. The truck didn't break a sweat.
