Hey guys, just curious on here who has done the ADV bed sides. Looking at doing the 2.5" flare/1" rise on the 5.5' bed. I already have the ADV front with the SVT vents and the 2" flare/2" rise. The bed needs a repaint as it's not a perfect match to the front half of the truck, so I'm thinking of...
I've got a Tesla-style Android head unit.
Is there a chance you have a picture of your setup so I can envision what you're referring to? I'm just trying to figure out if we are talking about having to do a bunch of custom stuff that is going to end up going down a rabbit hole.
I would be running a Whipple setup and not a Roush, that's for sure. I have owned 2 3.5 Ecoboosts, and again, nothing really against it besides the V8 feels more "right" in the truck. I like it just find in my Flex, but didn't enjoy it nearly as much in my 13 Limited F-150.
Has anyone here actually done the 7.3 swap yet?
Livernois 6.6 looks like it's 22k, and supposedly handles 850+ HP without any problems. Figure another 8k for the blower setup, and at that point you should have something that would be pretty angry. The question is this - can the Whipple for the...
Nice. I do really like it in the 22 F150. You can kneel on the bed floor without it hurting your knees too which is nice, but most definitely the stuff not rolling around and clanking in the bed is very nice.
My thoughts at this point would be probably to mount them like Smurf did in similar areas to try and get full coverage. I have a feeling just having one in each wheel well might not give complete coverage.
That's kind of what I'm hoping for it to set it up so that I wouldn't need a light to change a tire at night. I just don't want to mount like 20 lights to keep it simple, but have good lighting.
That's what I was thinking was trying to mount them in a way that would shine enough light on the suspension/towards the ground rather than just lighting up the tire. lol
Yea, I know the BD ones are expensive, but I will say that size of light vs output is usually way brighter on them then cheaper items. That's my reason for leaning towards them. Thank you for the link to the thread to see where you placed them!
I'm just wondering without a better head unit if it would be "worth" it. Also, to replace the stock Sony processor, I'm assuming it would require a ton of rewiring, as in you could use any of the stock wiring still?
I would be wanting to do a Whipple on the 7.3 as well. It probably would make more sense to put a 7.3 in with a Whipple rather than trying to do the 6.6 stroker with a Whipple.
A 7.3 swap would be fun as well, and it would be interesting to look into. For what Livernois charges for a built 6.2 there's a lot of options. I would probably be looking at the 6.6 stroker and a Whipple. Also, there's no way in hell I would start with a 5.0 truck and try to build it onto a...
Oh it most definitely would be going in with a Whipple on it. I assumed that it would be fairly straightforward as swapping the PCM, harness, and engine, especially since these trucks came with a 5.0 in that body style. As long as it's a Gen 1 Coyote I couldn't imagine it would be that insanely...
I have a Brand Motion digital rearview mirror in my 22 RCSB that has a front dash cam built into it, and a separate rear camera that mounts under the third brake light. I don't have that option on this truck, so I'm wondering if there's potentially another way to do it for the rear. The 22 also...
