I've had Ford F150's for the past ten years, when they were regular trucks no-one ever came up to me and said "wow! nice truck!"
At least once a week since buying the Raptor someone comments on what a great looking truck it is.
It's all about the Ego!
The amber lights are controlled by a sensor that is located infront of the tray in the middle of the dash. When the light is bright they will not turn on untile it is dark. I usually throw my cap over thesensor and they stay on all the time, that's in Canada... may be different in the US. if you...
I put the new bumpers on my Raptor in August last year and already seeing rust seeping from under plates and bleeding through the powder coat. Also the powder coat is peeling from under the plate mounting screws on the front. I know I live in a harsh environment (Canada) but is anyone else...
I have a 40" rigid hooked up to my high beam, through the aux switch on my dash. That way I don't have to cover the switch with my right hand to switch them off when another vehicle comes the other way. I use them regularly on the back roads to work in the early morning, I've already hit one...
I fully understand why Canadian dealers are pissed... No, I'm not a dealer but I have worked at dealerships and my son is a Ford Service manager, did you know that Ford penalises dealerships for doing to much warranty work?
Asking a dealer to take on that burden when they didn't even get the...
From the moment I saw the first Raptor I wanted one, my wife was against it because they didn't have a crew cab (got to have room for the grandkids!) So i bought a 2011 Tuxedo Black FX4, six months later they brought out the Screw cab on the Raptor, I lost 10 grand trading in the FX4 but it was...
My guess would be power steering pump, but also a possibility of an A/C compressor that engages even in cold weather if you have you windshield defroster on.
Here's an idea... why doesn't FRF make an album each month of all of the pictures sent in for Raptor of the month and other contests, so that we don't have to page down through all of the chit chat, I love to see the pics of other Raptors owners but sometimes the chatter is a pain in the ass.
Back in August I had the unfortunate experience of a whacking a bambi, well after three months and $25,000 I can finally say that it is back to together and completed.
The initial damage took two months in the body shop, mainly waiting for parts and also upgrading the bumpers front and rear...
I just uninstalled my dually lights from my back bumper, every time I put it in reverse the lights blinded my back up camera. They look much better in the fron ADD bumper!
Has anyone tried to get this looked after under Ford Warranty?
I checked my Flame Blue paint and it is perfect, no orange peel, runs, fish eye nothing!
No venison out of it, the poor thing was obliterated!

"Looks good---make sure you get a "diminished value" settlement from the insurance company before it is all said and done... "
I saw a program on...
It pretty much cleaned out the whole front end, Rad, Tx cooler, A/c condenser, broke the grille mounts in the hood, front bumper assy, left fender, front rad saddle, in fact just about everything forward of the engine .
So after two months in the body shop my Raptor is back!
Remember the Ford Raptor vs Deer thread?
After around $23000 of repairs the truck is back on the road complete now with front and rear ADD Stealth Bumpers, light bar,and mid perch settings on the shocks... bring it on bambi.. I'm ready...
