Please replace your spark plugs with Ford P/N CYFS092YPT / Motorcraft P/N SP542 plugs. We gapped them to .028 but you can try a larger gap. But no more than .030.
The coils are a different part number for the Gen2 3.5 Ecoboost Motors.
2017+ F-150 & Raptor 3.5 Ecoboost Coil P/N HL3Z-12029-A
2015-2016 F-150 3.5 Ecoboost Coil P/N BL3Z-12029-C
Tuners will gap the 11-16 F-150 3.5 to .025 when they are pushing 21-22psi of boost. This prevents spark blow out.
The 17-18 Raptors have stronger coils. Gap of .028 will work for a stock or tuned truck.
Try to get your hand on 6 Motorcraft SP542 spark plugs and gap them to .028" or 0.7112mm. Although, you may have a more serious issue but its worth a try.
SP534 spark plugs are running too hot.
The closest we are gapping tuned 11-16 ecoboost trucks are .026. The coils on the 2017-18 Raptors are better so a gap of .028 on the SP542 would be fine.
They were SP534 and yes, the manual shows 0.030-0.033. We did not check the actual gap on the plugs that we removed.
The SP542 came in gapped at .035 -.037, which are way off from their gap specs of 0.28 - 0.031.
SPD Performance has fixed the misfire code issue on 2 trucks. We replaced the factory spark plugs with Motorcraft SP542 (cold plugs) which we spaced at .028.
Installing time is 30-45 minutes. SP542 plugs MUST be respaced to .028 - .030, but make sure they are all the same spacing. They will...

This is an independent test done on a 2016 F-150 3.5L. Of course this isn't the high output 3.5L motor that is in the raptors. The 2017 Raptor has improved heads and exhaust manifolds which is why the HO 3.5L gains so much more from the adapters vs the regular...
The 3.5L Ecoboost motor is very difficult to properly dyno. And when adding new products, it takes 50-80 miles for the ECM to adjust.
The most accurate way to test a product is to do 3 baseline runs, with a minimum of 20 minutes to cool down between each run. I can not express how important it...

We have been able to get the install of our turbo adapters down to 45 minutes with this stud extractor from O'really. But you will definitely need to purchase our install kit or new studs (P/N W716667-S900) from your local Ford dealer. Still expect 1.5 hour install if this is your first time...
Jacob here with SPD Performance. It is true, Ford used the same turbo exhaust adapters for the 2017 Raptor that they have been using since 2011 on the first Gen1 F-150 Ecoboost 3.5L motors. Ford installed the adapters on their truck platform motors for durability. A direct bolt-up flange...
