Welcome - you will love this truck. Besides tint and window deflectors I did the FORscan mods first. Big difference in "creature comforts" like disabling the auto stop feature and disabling some of the chimes, auto-folding the mirrors when locking the truck, etc. Cheap and easy IMO to make it...
I just traded in a 2017 Explorer Sport in Magnetic for a 2020 Raptor in Leadfoot. Both colors are stunning. Magnetic has more of a flake/shimmer in good sunlight, Leadfoot is more of a solid gloss gray (no metallic flake.) Magnetic is just a shade darker espcially on an overcast day.
IMO...
I don't recall buying any special adapters. I did buy an extra 25' hose which I couple with the factory one for 50' reach - really don't have to move it while detailing. I use a Adam's cannon and a combination of Chemical Guys or Adam's foam/soap. Has worked well for me. I probably use it...
I have used this one for 2/3 years and it works great for my foam cannon. Sometimes detailing my vehicles is therapeutic and I am pretty OCD on my "fun" cars and this one works well for this.
Disclaimer:
I only use this for washing vehicles and I am sure there are better ones for all-around...
I used the scanner that forscan recommended: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B081VQVD3F/?tag=fordraptorforum-20
it auto switches between MS and HS without a toggle so it was super easy. Once I knew which features I wanted to enable or disable it took less than 30 minutes to do the backup and...
My uncle owns a Turbo Performance shop in Miami and when I texted him a picture 2 weeks ago he said: "those can hold big power" and "mustangs can make 800hp + on stock tranny" and lastly: "if they had that truck in a longer bed I'd have one"
@TXRaptor @kpecks - pulled the trigger on the MPT tune this morning. MPT recommended: 93PRX, 91 Tow, and the Any octane tune so that is what I went with. Thanks for the advice, will let you know how it does sometime next week.
Thanks @TXRaptor and @kpecks - looking at MPT site now, thanks for the 411. A lot of searching to do...
Definitely not going to do an exhaust - I don't mind the sound now and little to no gains made that decision easy for me.
I did order a SPD CAI only because the stock airbox seems...
Looking into tunes for after my CAI arrives (scheduled for Thursday) but having a hard time deciding on which one. I have to do more research but looking at:
(in no particular order)
MPT
5 Star
Cobb
Thanks for all the suggestions. Just an update: I went with an EXTANG Revolution really as a temporary solution while I decide how I am going to use the bed and just the truck in general. Took 20 mins or so to install.
It goes on with no drilling and modification so I figured I would run it...
So mine (2020) already had secure idle enabled so I did not make any changes there. I may possibly add the heated seats to the Climate menu, but I primarily use Android Auto and hardly ever use the Ford screens so the physical buttons are what I use. May do it for the rare time I don't have my...
10-4; wife and I had similar thought process. All of our concerts/vacations/hockey/Titans football have been cancelled or at least put off so we bought a smaller (2900 lbs) 18' travel trailer. At least we can get away with the dogs for a little bit while staying away from the hot spots/etc...
Having owned my truck less than two weeks, there were a couple of features that my last Ford products had that my Raptor did not. Hard to imagine when spending much more for my Raptor than my past 2 Explorers that it would not have some of the more simple features that were standard with both...
