    Erratic Cooling

Honestly, it sounds like you have a bubble in the system. Fill your reservoir, and go find the steepest offroad hill (easier to find) and let it idle on it for a few min with the heat on. That's what I did to fix my Nissan frontier when I experienced the exact same thing.

If it was your money... Gen 1 or Gen 2?

Honestly, you are going to be keeping this long term, and then turning it into a hunting rig? Gen 1 every day. I don't really see the durability in the Gen 2 platform to last. Guarranteed in 20 years, the Gen 1 will be worth more than the Gen 2. Im calling it now. The Gen one is a...

Gen 2 Tailgate For Gen 1?

The beds on the Gen 2's are garbage. There are many people experiencing the beds collapsing due to the support bars under the bed not being strong enough

    Death wobble ?

What are you running for rims? If they are aftermarket, they aren't hub centric, but bolt centric which isn't good enough. check out www.chiefmachining.com. My 35's were perfectly balanced, but slightly out of whack everytime I torqued down my methods, got the caps, instant fix.

    New Gen 1 Owner

I don't know wether this is a help, but, I use mine all the time. I think its that I leave my rear window not completely closed after opening it in the winter, (a couple of milimeters) This allows the glass to expand when heated and not shatter. Try it out! Welcome to the club!! Lots of...

Going from Geisers to something else - opinions please

A little Gen 1 idea, When I got my Geisers, I too was surprised how stiff the suspension became. So, I pulled One of my sway bar end links to simulate how my truck would feel without it, and now, I don't run one. It has also made the front end significantly smoother.

    Oil change insanit;y

https://roninfactory.com/products/ford-f150-raptor-oil-drain-ronin-factory Saw this a while ago, and definitely impressed over the fumoto valve. Everything is internal, nothing really to catch on the outside, and its nice and anodized for a clean finish. The adapter to allow flow can be...

    GEN 1 BFG KO Cracking

When you put them up next to a new set, you will see why you needed new tires. If its anything, I bought a new set of ko2's in 2014, and I just replaced them last week. They looked identical. Youll be relieved with a new set of rubber. The older they are, the harder the rubber becomes, and...

    Fox live valve upgrades

you would have to run a hose from the body on the oem shock, which is down mounted to the control arm. I suppose you could fandangle a reservoir to that but durability woud be in question.

    WTB: gen1 skid plate

check with RPG or SDHQ. I have heard they have a shit ton of spare stuff from builds. might get lucky!

    Fox live valve upgrades

To the fronts? You cannot. Look at the design on the oem, the shock shaft is on the top of the body, versus aftermarket where the body is above the shock shaft and allowing a reservoir to be mounted to the body. What is an interesting question is wether the new remote reservoir front live...

New to the forums! Gen 1 Raptor

Just an fyi on the pump for anyone, I have filled my P.S. reservoir to about a quarter inch past full, and I havet had a singl issue after doing that. I think the beatings they take just introduce more air into the pump, killing it quicker. Try it out! And, welcome to the group.

    SVC Baja Smurf Bumper

Heres one for ya. If you have a set of aftermarket, rigids in the pockets, what are you doing with your lights and wiring? I love the bumper, but don't want to lose the aux lighting.

Locks are not working properly (Gen 1)

Like, the interior panels right? Not, the keyless entry? If interior, you check your fuse? Keyless entry, does it light up?

    Gen 1 front/rear suspension

They are the Moog K200366 model. Exact same, you just need a press to put em in. Lemme tell ya, truck rides like a brand new model after that! I couldn't believe how much rattle came out of the old ones.

    GEN 1 6.2L Badge

Original 6.2 trucks didn't come with the badging. Mine doesn't have them either. Def makes people think its the 5.4, till I stomp on it.

    New to me 2014 Raptor

check the iwe. It sounds like you may need a new one, you can sometimes skirt replacement by greasing it with a thinner grease. Thick greases tend to make the gear stick in the iwe, and not separate far enough, which sounds like that

    GEN 1 What is this?

You ever take a look at the vibration damper that's above the frame rail, driver side, between the rear bumper and rear axle? Its a big piece of steel that rattles around to take frame vibrations out. I have contemplating tearing it off and hucking it into a forest since I have no clue what it...

    GEN 1 What is this?

That def needs a nut, its a heat shield to protect the cv bearing for the front driveshaft. It gets hella hot down there. My bet is you probably have a rattly heat shield elsewhere. Otherwise is it the shock rattle?
