    Radio Controls on Steering Wheel

About two weeks ago, the radio control on my steering wheel wouldn't allow me to advance or reverse my pre-selected channels. At first I thought it was related to Sirius. I took my truck in for service today and was told Ford released a bulletin announcing that the switch on the steering wheel...

    Cell Phone Mount

You might want to look at the Weathertech phone cup holder. I have one for my wife's car and it works great. The only disadvantage is that we can't close the compartment cover/door without first removing the phone and holder.

Installing rear inner fender liners 2019 raptor

I love my Husky liners even though they were a royal PITA to install. Do NOT trim -- they are meant to fit extremely tight in the wheel well. The advantage over Line-X is you get superior protection and coverage (as well as a cleaner look IMO). The disadvantage is if you're an aggressive...

Oxford white, performace blue or magnetic

I got the Oxford white (and luckily found one that ONLY had the hood decal) principally because -- like other's have mentioned -- the contrasting plastic and trim pieces make it look more custom than any other color Ford produces for the Raptor.

A/C Smells Like Vinegar (Not Teen Spirit)

I should have added that I live in VA...the humidity levels are virtually the same here as they are in SC (which I know well since I regularly visit family in Spartanburg). The key, again, is to force ambient air through the system. In any case, good luck.

A/C Smells Like Vinegar (Not Teen Spirit)

I worked as a service writer at an independent automotive shop and broached this issue years ago with one of our most senior and respected techs. He said when you're 1-2 miles from your final destination, 1) shut off the AC, 2) adjust the temp control to its lowest setting, and 3) put the fan...

Went from Prosepctive to Owner Today

I have an Oxford White 2020 with only the hood graphics (not side vinyl) which is the way I wanted it. IMO it looks more custom this way and the Ford hood laminate is pretty high quality. I think you should keep it. FWIW YMMV

    Cell Phone Mount

So I take it the phone vibrates slightly with this mount too?

    Cell Phone Mount

I wouldn't mind losing part of the vent, as long as the phone is vibration-free. Have you had a chance to use it much? Is it pretty stable when driving around?

    Cell Phone Mount

the magnet is actually the round "knob" attached to the bracket...the steel pad attaches to the phone. But I can't answer your question since I don't charge my phone wirelessly. Sorry.

    Cell Phone Mount

dilmorecg, the steel plate is extremely thin and attaches on the back of your phone, or in my case, the back of my phone's case...I never know it's there.

    Cell Phone Mount

I had a Weathertech cup holder too. I didn't like having too look so far down if something popped up on my phone...it was also difficult for me to read.

    Cell Phone Mount

...or am I being unreasonably critical and all phones attached to accessory mounts vibrate a little?

    Cell Phone Mount

I've been looking for a functional, clean and simple way to mount my iPhone since picking up my 2020 6 weeks ago. I dismissed the Proclip and Builtright dash mounts since I wanted to keep the stock appearance as best I can. My research lead me to Corse Motorsport...

Windshield inside cleaning sticky material off

I can't answer your concern if there's a coating on the inside of the windshield, although I suspect not, but whenever it comes to cleaning or removing contaminants, my approach has always been to take the least aggressive means possible. I too would have first tried Goo Gone but since that...

JLT Oil Separator Quest -- No Oil Residue

I should add (as the OP) that when I installed a JLT separator on my Gen 1, I had mist in the catch can at about the same 200 miles and at 1000 miles, about 2 oz. Interestingly, the amount of oil I collected from the catch can seem to decrease over time, to the point I only checked/emptied it...

JLT Oil Separator Quest -- No Oil Residue

FWIW, I routed the JLT lines (to the extent that I could) so they went under existent plumbing and connected that way. While the passenger side is slightly higher, it's hardly noticeable and I didn't have to do any trimming.

JLT Oil Separator Quest -- No Oil Residue

The WDC region is still a "hot" spot and is just now beginning to open, albeit only slightly. I haven't needed to drive anywhere far, although I try to find a reason to go out whenever I can. Still, I was expecting something. Thanks for replying.

JLT Oil Separator Quest -- No Oil Residue

I installed a JLT Oil Separator on my 2020 at ~200 miles. Due to Covid-19, it now has slightly over 400 miles on the odo, which is also to say that I'm still breaking it in and "babying" the engine. I just checked the catch can and found that it had absolutely no oil residue in it. Non. Zippo...

PPF Installation - Front End Coverage Quest

Yep, they're doing the headlights too. I actually pick the truck up on Monday...they wanted two full days so the ceramic coat could cure.

PPF Installation - Front End Coverage Quest

I'm not sure of the thickness, but they're installing Suntek PPF in a matte finish. It's what they call a "partial front wrap" where the bumper, headlights, mirrors, grill, fenders and hood up to the cowl is covered. For $1400, which includes having the same area ceramic coated with Modesta, I...

PPF Installation - Front End Coverage Quest

I just dropped my new 2020 off to have PPF installed and the front end ceramic coated (I CC'd everything but the front end last week). My question is, can PPF also be installed on the FORD letters on the grill? I asked to have it applied there as well, but was told the edges tend to start...

    Question about fake engine sounds....

I disabled the fake noise on my 2020 on principle alone. If it's not the natural sound of the engine emanating to the cabin interior, I don't want it. YMMV.

Bedliner Maintenance -- Adam's Ceramic Boost?

I should add that on my Gen 1, it had the non-UV bedliner and after it started to fade, I would regularly (once or twice a year) spray it with WD-40. This worked, but was a temporary solution. So I'm hoping to get ahead of the game on my Gen 2 and was hoping applying a ceramic coat might be...
