I second Marco horns, installed them while I try to figure out where to mount my tank, compressor and train horn setup, but the Marco horns are def the best quick fix for the meantime

I used a large air raid drop in dry filter with the stock box for a while and it worked great increased noise for sure. https://www.airaid.com/861-397-replacement-dry-air-filter Recently upgraded to the Cobb cai, and love it too, can’t go wrong with either of these options

I found that it only happened after I fill a full tank and immediately put it in sport mode, the last couple times I filled up i just left in the normal driving mode and did not get any pops

I’m very interested in doing a swap, where are you located

I initially did just a muffler swap, recently upgraded to AWE 2fg and am super happy with it, no drone, sounds great on cold start and when you hit the throttle, I would highly recommend it

That was my first thought too, Literally just installed the spd 170 degree thermostat and noticed the fans not running when I did the warm and bleed for the thermostat insall saw temps during bleed from 180-209

Im not sure if my radiator fans are working I’ve been running hot been seeing with normal driving on the freeway coolant temps climb to 235 degrees. I checked the fan fuses they are all good, did some research and found a video of a guy with bad radiator fans that according to him the bad ones...

Gear head tune, ams tubes, Cobb cai, awe 2fg exhaust my understanding with gear head is that it’s a pretty safe tune limits the psi to 18lbs of boost, I have maybe 200 miles on the awe exhaust, maybe it is an exhaust pop, I have no idea

exactly, that’s why I asked in the first place hopefully someone will be able to help out with an answer I would love to remove them for the above reasons but not without first making sure it won’t cause issues down the line

Seems like it’s one of those things that half are going to say it’s not needed cause it’s only for better mpg, and the other half are going to say it’s for that condensate issue the older ecoboost were having, kinda leaves you guessing and rolling the dice

ok so then for you guys that are doing a stock location ic upgrade are you leaving the shutters in? And for the ic that relocate or require removal of shutters what are they doing about the condensate issue

Can anyone comment on the shutters purpose in front of the stock intercooler location, are they just for mpg, or for condensate build up too? Just trying to plan out my install I would rather have more flow to the intercooler and remove it or just the shutters themselves if they are just for mpg
