I had a 13 FX4 truck that had seepage from every seal possible, although nothing ever made it to the ground. My late 18 Raptor has been bone dry and I hope it stays this way
I have a late 18 that shifts quite well in sport mode, nothing jumpy or unusual at all. I don't use it often but shifting was only slightly firmer than in normal mode
My dealer insisted I drive it, they had the exact loaded leadfoot that I was interested in with 14 miles on the clock. This truck was only 14 days old when I test drove it and of coarse I made it mine, I wasn't going to this one out of my sight ever again
Go buy the Raptor now, It's the best thing you can do at this point. I still have to pinch myself every day when see it in the morning, makes driving to work so cool
Just curious if anyone has done a trans fluid and filter change? I see there is a specific fluid for the 10 spd. It was common to service the 6R80, but the plastic pan on the 10 has me a little nervous. I'm sure Ford says you never have to touch it for the life of the truck or some BS.
I am also running 5W30. I went with the recommended Motorcraft oil and filter that the manual recommends. I change it so often that the brand of oil doesn't matter that much.
Having burned oil going out the tailpipe is not good. Cat converters will eventually get coated and ruined. They need to replace turbos or valve covers and just fix the problem,
This thread has me a little concerned with my new 18 that is still just under 2000 miles. I check the oil once a week and it's not using a drop so I'm safe hopefully. I've never owned anything that used oil.
I remember reading somewhere about F150 Limited with the Raptor drivetrain available in 2019. Wonder if that could be spec out with towing option? just a thought
I just recently added the gauge numbers and turned off the stop start without any issues. There a bunch of stuff you can do with these trucks, YouTube is a big help
