Has anyone had this problem with a tune and flashed to stock then taken into ford? I have had a few problems and they never seemed to “dig”. This engine rattle noise is getting worse and I think it’s time to take it in...
Standard stuff: tune, intercooler, downpipes, thermo, air intake. I was backing out of camp in 4h went i first heard/felt it pop and then on a bowl and bang locked up grinding popping all kinds of bad sounding crap. Drove back in 2wd and called it a day.
Manully line it up with a small level and then drive it for a bit. Mine did it 2 times one before and one after replacing whole steering assembly. Tech told me to line it up and drive it needs to read things to calibrate.
Just what I did....my power steering too a crap then it would re-align. Dealer was worthless. Tried forscan can’t tell I if helped...made plumb and level then gave a slight down angle. Then ignore errors and let re calibrate
Make sure you have it adjusted to where you think straight level and plumb maybe hair down. And drive it and it will relearn and you will stop getting errors. I tried to go to dealer and they said since it was moved they can’t do anything related to that because of liability reasons.
I have had the same strange shit...really does not build confidence for longer Baja trips. I wish we could turn off all this shit with a couple of buttons.
The problem with most of the loss prevention hardware is they accept universal tooling. I went with unique keys, not cheap but 30, 40 and pillar light aren’t either. As well as my bumper mounting hardware so it’s harder for a guy to just unbolt and cut wires. I have them on all points and...

I also like the King T handle and the pin style tools, works way better than the spanner styles
I just added some load to the front to compress the coil then put a coil compressor on it to hold it there. Then released load on front an jacked it up and spin away. Also lube does help and prevents galling.

Got my truck back today, all new steering rack. The only problem is now multiple errors: front sensor not aligned and front camera malfunction. They told me you are good to go, saw errors and they argued that the steering didnt cause that, I told them sure funny that the steering goes out...
Did it in oct in parking lot reset ingnition 20 times and good to go and no code. Then last month in baker went out on a hill climb and no code keyed ignition 30+ times and good to go. Yesterday in the dunes went out and now have all kinds of codes and sensor not aligned errors. Will not work...
