This one shows the magnetic armor on the truck to prevent scratches from thorny bushes, cactii, etc.

Service roads, maintained an unmaintained, in Big Bend Nat'l Park

I recently drove out to Big Bend and hit at least some of all the service roads/trails out there. I was in a Power Wagon, but thought I'd type up a bit of a heads up for you Raptor guys as well. Conditions can change, particularly with rain and due to lots of cuts and washes. This is just how...

STOLEN - Silver Gen 2, Denver

So I'm generally one of the last people to say "get an attorney" because the people who win from those deals are the attorneys first and everyone else a distance second. I've been able to resolve every off the job dispute but two without an attorney, and one of those just required a letter...

STOLEN - Silver Gen 2, Denver

We used to have an organized car theft ring that was burglarizing dealerships, taking the lockboxes and busting them open, and driving off with multiple Chargers and Challengers at a time. Absolute PITA to track as well because dealerships take awhile to figure out what's missing, get VINs, etc...

Rear hitch skid plate and other armor

I ordered one and returned it. The "recovery point" on top is welded on, not sure how much I trust that. The shaft was much looser than I wanted in the hitch as well.

ZION NATIONAL PARK - Overrated and a Waste of my Mfing Time...

I've only been to the northern part of the park. The southern part was super duper uber crowded and I agree with your assessment, tongue in cheek as it may be, that the crowds weren't worth it. The northern part is still beautiful but much less used than the more famous bits. The good news is...

    Insurance: What the Fr*ck!

USAA is a shell of what it used to be. I was with them for about 18 years then went to Geico. Lower rates, better coverage and customer support.

100 Mph Dry Lake Bed Runs..

It's 30 hours of driving for me to get there, so both times I've been has been flying in and then taking a rental. My plan is to do a big loop that includes Texas, New Mexico, California, and Utah for funsies with the Power Wagon. Maybe this coming March, but my son is enlisting and I can't...

100 Mph Dry Lake Bed Runs..

Twice, once in July maybe 2 years ago when I hit Sequoia, Josha Tree, Zion, and Death Valley in one trip and then this past November when I also did the Mojave Preserve. It's beautiful and much more varied then I thought it would be before going. I intend to go a third time. I want to see the...

Not a Raptor, but at least offroad (thanks to grleon65 for the idea)

@grleon65 posted his trip to the lava tubes in the Mojave back in April and after seeing the pictures I knew I had to go as well. Since the airline wouldn't sling load my Power Wagon and I didn't have the time to drive cross country on this trip, I did it in a rental. I'd originally thought I...

With the price of TRx, why are folks paying ADM for raptors?

That's why I never considered the TRX. It's a toy, and that's ok, but it's only a toy. The peanut tank neuters it, and while I see the appeal of a Hellcat you can see over traffic with, it is so specialized you lose a lot of flexibility. If you have a fleet of cars and want to take the TRX...

Thank you to everyone for all the information

Well it happened. I missed out on a couple used ones because work was nuts and I couldn't get away. I attempted to order a 2023 on Monday but the order banks were closed already and won't reopen until maybe next month some time, then a minimum expected wait of 6-9 months. My search pinged a...

Thank you to everyone for all the information

Gentlemen (and/or ladies and/or undecided) Once again, thanks for everything but I'll be moving on. I've elected to go with the Power Wagon. After driving a new one it just instantly felt right to me. While not as sporty as the Raptor, of course, it is more geared toward the offroad use I'm...
