Im in awe of this deal on these shocks. Does anyone know if they are offering colors or they strictly black and silver ? I was going to go with ICON fronts, but with this price, I could be swayed. Will they be at the Off Road Expo this weekend in Pomona CA ?
So this is what is happening with mine. Say I come to a sudden or quick stop, the trans will remain in 3rd or 4th gear and wont shift to 1st even though im stopped. If I step on the gas it reminds of dragging the clutch on a manual trans. It will move forward but like the clutch is slipping...
I gotta ask, that seems too high in the back. Did they leave the 2" stock block in ? They are supposed to removed the block when installing Icon leafs in the rear.
I just tested my ICON bumps for the first time this weekend. I beat the shit out of the truck in the desert on Saturday. The rear felt fantastic, no probs at all. I checked under the rear after a really rough section and saw I used about 1.5" of the total travel of the exposed bump shaft...
I have a 2017 and went with the route of lets see how she does first. I found the front to be a little soft so I went with the RPG adjustable collars up front. It barely changed the ride at all for getting 2 inches in height. In the rear, I opted for protection first and went with the ICON...
So would it be better to do trac bars and just run stock rear springs? What would give you the most advantage. I like the way the truck rides now, just skips around alot on the road in the rear, and same at high speed on the chattery stuff in the dirt. Any professional input would be much...
Thanks, I am thinking first step of changing the leafs to Icons. Heard that makes the most/biggest diff. What exactly did you notice on and off road from changing the leafs only, before the trac bars.
I have had my RPG adjustables on for 3 weeks. They are set at the mid position which is 2.25". My front sits perfectly level, if not a slight bit higher in the front (not noticeable to the untrained eye..lol). The ride changed very minimally. It got stiffer, but in my opinion rides better...
I just got my truck back from installing the RPG adjustables. I set them at the mid setting (about 2.25"). It rides a wee bit stiffer but not very noticeable at all. Goes to show you how soft they were to begin with. Drives fantastic. I hope to get it in the dirt this weekend to see how it...
Great vid, would love to see it from the side through the same sections to see what the truck is actually doing vs. what it looks like in the cab. I did a comparison vid with my I-phone (low quality) and the one inside the truck sounds and looks like im jumping off a cliff. The outside one...
Just had my collars installed yesterday. Just a quick question. Do they settle at all, or do they stick to the set height pretty much for until springs wear down ? Just a question because when doing most lifts you notice its a little higher in the beginning and it settles a bit after a short...
