I've got a 2020, and I love it. I purchased it used with 29k miles and have zero issues. I will eventually purchase a Gen 3, but I'm waiting for a color similar to Performance Blue from the 2024 models and for Ford to work out a few of the small issues. It's always best to purchase the most...
My power fold mirrors are acting up, especially the driver's side. They reach the full open and close positions at different times, and randomly the passenger side mirror will not open. The driver's side mirror also sits a little past the detent when opened, and it is noticeable because it...
I drove a Capstone and 1792 version of the newest Tundra. I liked them both…a lot. The interiors were super nice and the tech was finally updated. The drivetrain was very smooth and quick.
The reason I ultimately bought the Gen 2 Raptor was because my 2020 was a last year model run and I have...
Eh, I tend to disagree. My trucks and cars are meticulously maintained and the Raptor I bought looks like it was brand new. It is treated like most people would treat a Ferrari with an "obsessed garage" mentality. I've owned 4 Lexus vehicles. They are awesome....reliable, fun, and well...
I just transitioned from a 2014 F-150 Platinum to my 2020 802A. I would agree, the interior is way more fragile then the 2014 Platinum interior, even with the exposed brushed aluminum trim. Another thing that really gets me is how fragile the exterior door handles feel. My four year old about...
Had a correction done on my 2020, along with Gtechniq CSL, I added the Gtechniq spray top coat. For full truck correction and coating application it was $800. Id highly suggest you do the wheels. I did them myself, well worth it. Brake dust doesn’t stick at all anymore.
The truck is completely stock. I can’t speak for the Raptor but the rear sway bar made a huge difference in my Platinum.
I just took the truck for a ride and the change to 34 psi made a difference.
I know the Hellwig rear sway bars make a huge difference. I’ll play with the tire pressure then I may make a purchase.
You are right, my platinum had 20s. I know the 20s will make a difference, but I’ll probably upgrade once Ford does a refresh in 2024. I didn’t want to invest but so much into...
Correct, factory BFG 35s. The dealership replaced them all when I bought the truck. It just turned 32k miles. The shocks have not been rebuilt.
Just did a quick search and it seems most guys are running 32-35 psi. I'll make that change to 34 and go from there. Thanks for the quick responses.
I'm new to Raptors and I purchased a 2020 802A with 29k miles a few months back and sold my 2014 Platinum. It's never been off-road and is a street truck only. I'm having a hard time adjusting to the Raptor's on-road characteristics. It bounces all over the place and seems unstable at times...
I spent two years searching NC, VA, SC, and MD and recently purchased a local 2020 802A. Our area tends to have a lot less super clean Raptors. I found that a vast majority of them are shipped south from places like NJ, NY, Ohio, and PA. Avoid those vehicles unless you do a VERY thorough...
Just dropped off my truck for a full correction, full front PPF, and gtechniq CSL application. I can’t wait to get it back…it’s going to look awesome. Will post pics afterward.
Going through this procedure now, as my truck just started the rattle at 30k miles. I don’t trust the dealer to not destroy my truck so I’ll order the lube from the link below. $39 for the Krytox lubricant isn’t a bad price, and $46 for the Krytox weatherstrip lubricant at the link below...
Went for a morning rip down some back country roads, added the performance blue letter outlines, and dropped off the truck for a warranty repair on the front passenger door actuator.
I know this is an old thread, but in an effort to not make another thread, I'll ask here.
I just bought a 2020 Gen 2. My factory flares had a few dark spots where Ford originally painted them unevenly. I used cleaner wax and buffed them out, but now I have a shiny spot on the flare. I tried...
Had this same noise in my other F150. I replaced my IWEs, along with the vacuum check valves on the firewall. If for any reason vacuum is not fully releasing the IWE, it will make this sound. Double check for vacuum leaks in the tubing running to the IWE. The check valves are super cheap, maybe...
I recently purchased a used 2020 with the OEM bead locks that have a few chips in the powder coat. Can anyone tell me the color code for touching them up? It's not J7 (Magnetic), as I used that on the front bumper, and it matched the bumper perfectly. I used it on the wheels thinking it was...
I'm looking for a supercharged Gen 1, preferably with less than 40k miles. I'm located in Virginia, but will travel for the right truck. Color doesn't really matter, I'll take a look at anything you may have for sale. I am looking for a truck in near pristine condition.
Thanks.
