What did u do to your raptor today?

Yes, I have this issue bad. In fact I have to pull the release and put tow of my shoe under the e-brake pedal and lift up with my toe while I pull to get the brake fully disengaged. Still works and at this point I’ve gotten use to it. Will probably get it fixed eventually...

    Morimoto XB or Raptor Retrofits?

Yes. As oplersx mentioned, the vertical low adjuster can be adjusted from the top. I used a ratchet for the adjusters on the back after installing the lights. 8mm if I recall. Was able to access all of them fairly easily. I do have aftermarket front bumper though. Not sure if it’s easier because...

    Morimoto XB or Raptor Retrofits?

One more thing for folks purchasing, you’ll find very good specifics about location for adjusters on the XBs of every year Ford truck here: https://blog.theretrofitsource.com/morimoto-xb-led-headlight-vertical-and-horizontal-adjuster-details

    Morimoto XB or Raptor Retrofits?

Yes, I had to adjust everything for both High and Low (both vertical and horizontal) on my Gen1. Was very easy. Took maybe 30mins with measuring, setting tape “targets” on garage door at 25’ and making the adjustments. Might have to do a little gymnastics to get to the adjusters once lights are...

GEN 1 SoCal Molded Lead Frame service

9 seems low. I ended up with 11.5 quarts when doing myself, but I did install the larger tranny cooler at same time. Still, the cooler only holds maybe 1/2 quart of fluid. Wouldn’t account for other 2 quarts. I also let the tranny drain for about 5hours which likely isn’t the case at the...

    Roush Supercharged Questions

The issues may be related: bad tune, belt slippage, RPM issues. If you get a decent tune (I highly recommend JDM at teamjdm.com who does email tunes) it may resolve that issue altogether. You may also want to invest in the 72mm pulley and new belt that JDM offers as well. Good luck!

    Morimoto XB or Raptor Retrofits?

Watch this video. . It’ll give you the specs for 2009-2014 f150 lights using OEM HID as baseline. They are a lot brighter. You’ll have to skip past the other headlights he reviews. Numbers are below but I’d watch the video. Speaks better than numbers. Low beam Morimotos are 194% brighter than...

    Morimoto XB or Raptor Retrofits?

I went with the Morimotos because I could get them quick, plug them in, they look dang sexy, and I could sell my HIDs for good money. They are very bright compared to stock HIDs, bright enough for me.

GEN 1 SoCal Molded Lead Frame service

Finished mine fairly recently. Took a few hours. Just pay attention and you can definitely do it. I do recommend getting some transmission grease/lube for job as recommended in the video linked earlier. Hardest part for me was getting the fluid level back to spec once it was all put together. If...

Winches?! Who has one? What do you think?

Agree with most of the sentiments so far. My summary: I’ve had winches last 6 vehicles, all Jeeps and Toyota’s. Used them a lot, but only twice to correct my own situation. Almost exclusively to help others or on the farm. The two times I did need it for myself I could have just as easily of...

    JDM engineering 700 HP kit

I bought and installed it. I’ll add the opinion that you would save $500+ by putting this kit together without the throttle body. The racing TB is very pretty, but I don’t think it improves much vs stock TB for the price ($700~). Something to think about.

    Ease my concerns....

I’ve got 2013 Roush SC. Had the ticking before adding new SW headers and after. I got rid of my idle issues with new sparks, wires and coil boots though. I’d recommend new coil boots if you are replacing sparks anyway. It’s a <15 min job to put new ones on if you’ve already got the air box...

    Headers

I’ve got a ‘14 Roush, installed Stainless Works headers myself with Corsa Exhaust. For the trouble and $, if I had to do over again I’d reinvest that money into something else. Not enough bang for the buck, IMO. If you are having them installed, I personally would definitely not put that much...

What did u do to your raptor today?

I tried the Px6 in a buddies mustang late last year. Left too much to be desired functionally for me, and poor customer support when he was having issues, among other things. Looks amazing, but I’m not certain the issues have been resolved. They may have been. He ended up going a different...

GEN 1 Recall 19S07: 2011-2013 powertrain control module

@Jessemack, just be very careful if they are touching your PCM to also address 19S07 for you. I couldn’t get a clear answer from FORD or Roush on how to get my PCM updated...so I decided not to take the risk involved with the update at this time. I did replace the lead frame myself and no...
