Interesting. End of October a tree branch fell on the hood of our 18 X5 and needs replaced. My shop ordered an OEM hood and took about 30 days to come in after the estimate and is being repaired as I write this.
Not in 2019 and 20. A lot of people were getting invoice or close too it. I had 2 invoice offers from local dealers just before Covid with little negotiation. For the first buyers of the Gen3 I could see paying a small premium if Ford could actually deliver the vehicle without having to wait...
Would have thought the premium you would get on trading a 2020 would easily make up for $500 but understand standing by your principles. Think it’s funny though someone ordering a $77k vehicle couldn’t get financing.
Until the pandemic induced supply chain issues there was no issue with anyone being able to get a Gen 2 Raptor. I see more than I would think I would in my area. Limitation was people wiling to spend $70k+ on a half ton truck. R may wind up being a different beast but agree with the...
Nah. Key words they always use to lure people in are ”up to”. I get offers like that for my vehicles and they go right in the trash. I always chuckle at all the fine print.
You should be very happy with it, color works very well on the truck. I am ok with the tailgate appliqué but the bedside graphics are too much for me and also would delete or try to have everything but the RAPTOR wording removed if possible.
Nice looking pup. Not to derail thread too much…here is ours on flight home from Texas last August. Still working on a Raptor. Been tough considering current pricing conditions for Gen 2 and lack of availability for Gen 3.
I know that group of dealerships and wouldnt buy from them based on past experience. They tried same thing with my trade (not a Raptor) on a new 2020 in March of 2020. They weren’t interested in really selling you anything. Just wanted to try to steal your truck. They can sell that 21 easily...
What is the term for the Audi extended warranty. Their basic is 4/50 I believe like BMW. Just got a factory extended warranty for our 18 X5 we bought CPO about 1 1/2 yrs ago which extended it out to 7 yrs and unlimited mileage, upgrading the CPO year, which was the most they offer. To get...
I agree, the 2021 seems like a bargain compared to current asking prices for used Gen 2s. You are getting a new model with very nice upgrades you mentioned. I am willing to wait to see if the Gen3 becomes more available in 2022/2023 but would have no problem paying MSRP or a little more if I...
For the past few months I have been following used 19s and 20s on Autotrader within 300 miles of my area, and have noticed the inventory has been increasing and increasing. Went from 2-3 pages tops to 7 or so now and have seen a good number of trucks on there for a while. My local dealer has 3...
I’m seeing around a $10k premium even on 19s. There is no compelling reason for me to get a Gen2 at these current asking prices. Going to look to get a Gen3 even at MSRP is a much much better deal. I am in no hurry though and can wait to see how things shake out. You do have the CA factor...
Since you are past 41 months and/or 41k miles, my understanding per resarch with Flood Ford is that you will not be able to get a new vehicle Ford ESP. So will need to go aftermarket or your dealership may have a used vehicle plan you can purchase, but do not believe it will be a Ford ESP...
You would think that but not so sure based on what I am currently seeing. Paying MSRP or more for a used 2 year old truck (many with mileage 20k+) seems the opposite of an educated buyer, unless money is no object. Seeing some asking prices on autotrader over $80k lol.
I may be wrong, but think you would be hard pressed to find a lender during these crazy times willing to do a cash out used car loan with high LTV and a low interest rate. Used prices could normalize anytime potentially leaving them with a bad deal.
Good luck and hope things work out for you. You haven't mentioned price so can't tell if the discount is commensurate with the buyback and minor damage impacts. While I too don't see prices coming down much in the near future, personally I don't need a Raptor bad enough to pay the crazy...
While none of us have a crystal ball...I'm of the same opinion of you. Prior to the past few months, used Raptors were selling for much less than people paid hence they lost value, especially in late 19/early 20 when most people were getting between invoice and a few thousand below MSRP for...
I agree patience and not being in a rush is key. Late March of last year I had a nice deal about worked out on a new 2020 ($69,995 for a $75,435 MSRP), but when things got locked down due to COVID I decided to not go through with it and preserve cash for my business (kicking myself now but was...
Yep and someone will buy it I’m sure...and can have it at that price. I had to laugh the description says priced below KBB fair purchase price...sure it is. The photo of the service invoice is a nice touch lol. Really doing the future buyer a $427 favor for essentially just an oil change and...
From what I am seeing you essentially are paying an $8-10k ADM on a used truck. If you going to pay that kind of money on a used truck, wait and try to get a 3rd Gen as close to MSRP as you can. The latest model and upgrades will be worth the additional cost, and at worst there should be...
