Urghh.. I called Ford Performance.. they don't see the order.. Called the dealer, manager is of course... on vacation..... used car manager says, "oh those things can sit in limbo for a while"....... I am really hoping that there is a better explanation, as I sold my 19 10 days ago.....
Anyone...
Thanks... I guess I need to lean on the dealer a little harder to see if I have a build date.... Yes, I had no intention on buying a Gen 3... it was the crazy value I got on my 19 that let me go two years newer for less than 10K... I have been Raptorless for a little over a week and am totally...
Thanks... my dealer told me he had 6 allocations.. of course all gone now.. I am sure he told me the allocation was for an October build... Does anyone know if allocations come with an anticipated build week?
I sold my 19 with 21K miles for 70K .... still only 1500 under msrp when I bought it over 2 years ago... 21 on the way. I get that its a new design. However, the interior is really not- its been in the F150 for a bit, the only thing that is really new is rear suspension. the 5 link is a proven...
I got an allocation for a 21 and am either going to sell or trade my 19 Gen II, 20K miles. I put a cobb Stage 2 kit and tune on it at about 8K miles... never any issues and quite frankly love the difference. Question... those of you in my spot with a new one on the way, are you selling/ trading...
man its tight... I have a 19 SCREW.. I park in a garage that is 23 deep, but I have a 20X20 shop and I have parked it in there before, and you have a couple inches each way... its a way tight squeeze
My best guess totaled- and I’ve spent 30 years running body shops. Raptor frames at the front wheel are very vulnerable. Just because the frame is bent doesn’t mean it’s totaled, but a bend right behind the front wheel is very difficult to fix.
now, insurance company and body shop don’t...
Get a CCW permit... depending on the county, they aren't that hard to get- unless its LA or San Francisco area...
I also have a vault in the center console.
I have thought about it too. i love the hidden winch look, and already have Cobb intercooler. Heres the rub, in Northern Cal and Southern Oregon, the trails are narrow. I decided my raptor wouldn't be going on those trails, and set up a tacoma with Fox adjustable coil overs, a Warn Zeon platinum...
Guys
I would never have Safelite replace a windshield in any decent vehicle. They typically use an aftermarket glass that is on the lower end of glass, as they work with the insurers that are all about the cheapest price. Any vehicle that has a camera must use OEM glass... that is for...
I am all up for beating up the insurance companies... the bad part of that is that the insurers don't make great money... I too, have several clients that pay managers in the 120-160;s
I came from the collision repair industry as well. I ran small shops, then MSO's, and now I am a consultant that helps them grow and develop teams, and leaders.. Brother there is another way than 60 hours a week, trust me I have been there.....
Different dealers are different with mods... Sac Ford seems ok, only if they install.... You are also close to Auburn, I had M45 in Auburn do a Cobb stage 2 kit on my 19 and it Rips... no issues, I have 5K miles on the tune, ran it in 95degree No Cal weather at 90+ mph.. its awesome.. Highly...
