Edited the original post to clarify I also was only in the fast lane to pass another car as well. I am a firm believer of the “passing” lane.

Firm believer that you own the passing lane? (no quotation marks needed. That’s really what it is)

Because, apparently, you were there long enough to have another car get around the car you passed, then you, and then still make it in front of you again.

I drive... assertively... but the only time I'm ever an a-hole has nothing to do with my Gen 2 Raptor. I can't stand slow, plodding drivers doing 3 under the speed limit on a country road where even the cops know it's 10-over. I've also surely pulled a similar move on someone camping in the fast lane but if you really were just passing that's uncalled for.

To start, this post is to hopefully gut check some of you gen2 owners.

Once upon a time:
Since my raptor is down for some heavy upgrades we have been taking my wife’s Range Rover everywhere and I of coarse notice all the raptors out on the road and am anxious to get mine back out there. Seemingly 20:1 ratio of gen2:gen1 these days.

Now I admit the gen2 raptor is one bad mf machine, no doubt about it. But some of you gen2 owners think it makes it somehow right to drive like a holes.

Headed down the highway today a mostly stock gen2 decided to be “cool” and speed past me with his “loud” (not that loud but he thought it was) exhaust, cut me off and then break check me as if to say I’m better than you, get out of the fast lane(Edit: was only in the fast lane to pass as well, just wasn’t fast enough for hot rod). I was doing 85 already.

so first off the Range Rover is in a completely different class of vehicle so I’m not sure what he was trying to prove, has a v8 supercharged 5.0L motor 510hp with multi terrain adaptive suspension and does 0-60 in 5.6 seconds, all better, faster, higher tech and costs more than a gen2, so again not sure what your trying to prove.

I couldn’t help but wish I had my gen1 at the time to eat his ego for breakfast. All I’m saying is don’t be an ass and ruin the name of the raptor for all of us.

have a great day

What exactly is the point of this post? You think all or most Gen2 guys drive like? I guess Gen1 guys drive better? Old man yelling at clouds, jesus christ man.

How do we request the mods to delete a pointless thread? This brings 0 value to the forum and even starts out taking about a different vehicle.

Agreed. Gen1 owners throwing shade at Gen2 owners and Gen2 owners throwing it right back does nothing to enhance this otherwise awesome forum. This forum should be a place to share ideas and a mutual love for our trucks regardless of what generation/year you bought. Casting every Gen2 driver in this light does nothing good for the community. Go out and drive your truck.

Just makes me laugh when gen2 drivers try to be “loud”. There are lots of amazing things about the gen2 but the sound is not one of them. (My opinion)
It’s hard reading your post without sensing some kind of jealousy about the Gen2. Idk how he would be trying to be loud just by driving on the freeway unless of course as he passed you he popped it into Neutral real quick and gave it a couple of revs? Lol
