So I completed my mid perch reversal yesterday. What I've noticed is that now the front and rear suspension work in unison which is especially noticeable on the rebound. The truck is plain easier to drive and maneuver. I do miss the height and looks of mid perch but I'll roll stock until a...
For me I personally love the height increase as well as the additional compression dampening. However the harsh rebound, skittish street handling and potential warranty issues out weigh the benefits in my humble opinion. I'm definitely in the minority corner of mid perchers. I came to terms that...
I'm about to follow in your footsteps. Since mid perch I've noticed the front and rear to be out of sync in dampening! I could see how one could easily out drive the rear suspensions ability now. Street manners are profoundly worse especially on the rebound. While going around a corner if one...
That's exactly what I was hoping to hear! So you didn't have any problems with the stock shock bottoming before hitting the bumps?

For those of you running the 1.5" Readylift block have you ran into any problems or has it been smooth sailing? I'm sick of the ass up look even at mid.

Vanilla_Gorilla, thanks for taking the time to do the legwork and reporting back to us. Looking forward to future updates!

Borrowed the spring compressors from Autozone and knocked out the mid-perch mod in my garage, 2 hours from start to finish including clean up! I've noticed the ass feels a little soft now so it's looking like some Nationals or Deavers are in my future.

So I've been doing a lot of reading on spring rates and calculations but at the end of all of it by gong mid-perch were only preloading and are NOT changing the spring rate. What I also interpreted as harsh rebound I believe is increased rebound dampening from being further into the shock...
I saw the progressive rate topic but I'm more interested in a closer to stock ride and we're talking 500 for progressive vs 100 for some King springs.

Has anyone tried replacing the spring on the stock Fox SVT shocks with a King/Eibach etc. spring of the same rate but 2-3" longer set on bottom perch? After moving to mid-perch I enjoy the ride height and compression dampening but found the rebound to be not as plush. My question to our...
So 3K on the clock for my SCREW and I finally took it on a decent run from Ocotillo Wells to Superstition about 55 miles round trip. What I experienced was the notorious "clunk" from what seemed the drivers side front area at the same time I noticed some fade in the front shocks, at about 10-12...
Got underneath the truck today and the stock blocks measured at 2 1/2" with 6 1/2" of shaft till full compression. 4 1/2" from block to jounce and 6 1/2" from block to the jounce mounting point. I would imagine the jounce under full bump compresses 1" which would put me right at the limits with...
I searched the forum and wasn't able to find out if there is any conflicts with moving down from the 3" rear block to the 2wd 1 1/2"? My concern is with the stock shocks stroke bottoming out before full compression on the jounces. Thanks in advance for the input guys, loving all the sick ass...
Hi all, new owner of 2013 SCREW in Oxford White. Picked the truck up on 12/21/13 and have managed a couple desert runs. Truly impressed by how well the truck gets it done off road as well as tows (WW FK2100) and DD's! Looking forward to soaking up some knowledge from the board!
