37 pack trucks have less suspension travel. This was announced when the 37 pack was shown. We all know there are minor tweaks and the 37 pack comes with different shocks with larger bodies and whatnot but I think at the end of the day this is simply coming down to a bumpstop and limiting...
No worries about whether or not that 37" spare will fit under the truck. Everyone knows maximum Dunkin Donuts cred is obtained with two spares in the bed, rendering your pickup useless for, you know, picking up things.
My takeaway from this picture is just how tall the Tremor looks. It looks to be maybe 1.5-2" lower than the Raptor based on the mirror heights. The Build and Price on the Ford site definitely does not give that impression of the Tremor, it looks kind of limp-wrested there. This thing might...
I wouldn't call that a hood 'scoop'. Those usually shove air into the engine bay. This is clearly the reverse. It is also clearly 22% more bro-tastic than the Gen2 extractor. So, more street cred down at the Sonic on Friday nights.
Wow, $2900 and the lighting is not included. Having that little actuator to put up the light bar is gimmicky at best. If you can find that thing for half price--maybe. Still not exactly sure what these racks are supposed to do other than add a pointless 100 pounds to your truck, but to each...
1400 pound payload gives you an average of 280 pounds per passenger. Unless you are part of an NFL defensive line, I think 5 people and a reasonable amount of luggage can go in a Raptor just fine. If not, I think your family might need to go on a diet and exercise regimen ASAP.
That said...
All you fools that are suggesting that the truck won't fetch a good price on resale or trade actually have zero idea of how the used car market actually works. With very, very few exceptions (usually on high dollar stuff that retails waaaaay over a Raptor), the lowest optioned model will return...
They need to prepare the marketplace for a $90,000+ Raptor R. So the 'base' model has to get more expensive. Keep in mind they are also prepping the showroom for a Ranger Raptor that will probably start at $49,995 and run up to the base F150 Raptor pricing.
I really wanted to buy an American truck but they've made too many decisions I don't want to live with: dropped the supercab configuration, paired 37s only with a terrible interior & loaded spec and overpriced the 37 pack massively. I wanted a basic supercab on 37s for around $65K. Screw an...
Ford is really kind of schizophrenic these last few years. They hit a home run with the Mustang GT350; then discontinue it. They cancel all development work on cars; yet they keep the terrible Fusion while axing the Focus RS. They invent the OEM Baja truck; then they cede the podium to Ram...
They are not all black nor machined with black accents. They are sort of a satin gunmetal color as shown above. I can't fathom why a company the size of Ford can't hire some competent people to run their website.
No, the entire industry is not repeatedly over promising and under delivering like Ford. Take Porsche as an example. We all knew that a wingless, subdued 2022 GT3 Touring was coming but the formal announcement came Monday and --BAM!-- the configurator is up on the website with no bugs, issues...
It will be interesting to see where the segment goes. In some ways, it is advantageous to be powered by an electric motor. No oil starvation issues at extreme angles for one. Maybe they can figure out how to make one of these be able to ford 40"+ of water with no intake.
Ford keeps shooting themselves in the foot. Excitement for the Bronco was at a fever pitch and they shit the bed on the launch. Everyone wants 37s for their Raptor and they can't deliver. As a company, they have a couple of good ideas that are being completely derailed by failure to execute.
Some allocations for Bronco got pushed to 2022s but they are not all being pushed. There will be 2021 Broncos. Granted, not sure how I would feel about getting a 2021 in July but.....
In my opinion, the Ford liner is fine for a few years and/or light usage. If you plan to keep the truck past 5 years and plan to haul a lot of stuff in it, take the time to have a better quality liner sprayed on thicker and the hardware removed.
Yeah Ford, I'm going to pay $80,000 for a 2021 pickup truck in September (or later). Insane, these should all be 2022s to at least protect the buyers from that several thousand dollar depreciation hit they take for it being a whole model year older. For people that change cars every 3 years or...
Fighter Jet gray would be awesome. I assume they will do a one-year color for 2022. Maybe Code Orange will be the 'special' color for '21 and will go away. But perhaps not given that they have gone and done a blue w/ orange stitch interior.
I look at large Metro areas in the South (and all of California, it seems) and shake my head at what people are willing to pay for Raptors. I guess there are times when living in B.F.E. has its benefits.
No surprise that Ford has increased pricing so much with this generation when you look at...
Sorry, not a Raptor fanboy here. I don't have a Gen 1 or 2 at this time, but I have spent time in both over the years. I think the multiple failings of Ford with both the Bronco launch and now this Raptor are relevant. It seems the company is not firing on all cylinders. Particularly...
This is Gen3 Raptor fail #12 at this point. I was stoked to get a new Raptor about a year ago. Then the talk of 37" tires started and I was super stoked. Now I have to get a loaded truck with a blue interior that costs over $80,000 to get my factory 37s. Oh, and the power and torque are the...
I think a mainstream, hybridized F-150 is coming a lot sooner than you think. Besides, Ford is completely out of their tree if they designate these late summer trucks as 2021s, so I figure 2022-2024 at most before it goes on hiatus for a year or so and then comes back as a gas/electric hybrid...
