Sorry for the clickbait thread title. But hear me out....
Been knocking around the idea of getting a truck for some time now and could really do with something midsized but hate, hate, hate all the offerings there. Tacoma is from the Paleolithic era and underpowered, Ranger is 4-cylinder only...
I have no idea what happened from the factory to the dealer to the first owner. BUT I do know that if you attempt to get anybody but yourself to pick up the check for this repair, they are going to laugh at you.
In the grand scheme of things, you are doubtless overpaying for a flipped 2021...
Too much poke up front but the rear looks about right. That's going to throw rocks and debris all over the sides of the truck. More for hard parking at the mall than real use. I'd go +5mm in the rear and +12mm up front. But then you're into a situation in which your fronts and rears don't...
For the love of all that is holy, please stop calling these things "flairs". It is a fender FLARE. Flair is what goes on your server's suspenders at TGI Fridays. You people are probably the same ones that misspell brakes as "breaks" and call Recaro seats "ricardos". I understand that the...
Just air them up to max psi indicated on the sidewalls if you're leaving it for a long period of time. I wouldn't bother doing anything if leaving it for a couple of weeks.
I swear to God people can't stop trying to use gadgets in the face of clear danger in doing so. I watch people cross streets staring at their stupid phones, I watch people drive while clearly engaged in a heated 'text fight'. Nevermind the idiot Tesla drivers that go to SLEEP while the car...
You and me both! Ford actually saved me $65K considering they did not build one this way. I just got a new 4x4 and need a Raptor like a fish needs a bicycle but I know I’d be tempted if they made a SCAB. If it had a naturally aspirated V8? Done deal.
Not to thread hijack… Nice truck, OP!
That’s why he’s exactly the kind of guy that should concern himself with highest retained value. No 10-year ownership to spread the cost out. When it comes to switching cars often, the guys that do it aren’t going to just ‘stop’ because it doesn’t make sense. For that matter, why is anybody on...
I might not agree that a Raptor handles even remotely closely to a sports sedan but I do agree that it looks cleaner without the "Raptor" badge on the rear. I think that you are going to expose a schism between guys that came up on Euro stuff where being debadged was 'cool' vs. the Monster...
A Raptor handling like a "sport sedan"!? WTF are you smoking? Maybe you are talking about your perceptions of 'handling' at 5/10ths of either vehicles potential? A proper modern sports sedan would leave any Raptor for dead on a curvy road. The Raptor driver wouldn't see which way it went...
There were $30K markups on TRXs 6 months ago. The market for $80,000+ pickups is only so large and supply will soon catch up with demand pending supply chain constraints. Everyone wants to be first with 37s and ‘OMG!, check out my new Raptor’ on Instagram.
Patience is something that also...
You are misunderstanding my post. I am talking about your typical 2021 37 customer that paid ADM to be ‘first’, probably getting one of two allocations. He will realize that he could have waited 6 months, gotten the 37s without a circus interior and likely no ADM.
