x2
this is the setup I would recommend to. Have you checked your sticker to confirm your trucks payload? Mine was actually 1118 lbs. so at 600 lb tongue with 2 “full sized” adult males it didn’t leave me with much.
Carfax don’t always tell a story. I totaled my last Jeep. Bought it back from insurance and fixed it. Nothing ever showed up on carfax 5 years later when I sold it.
I guess that’s a question best answered by them. I’m just repeating what I was told. I’m sure they could enlighten everyone as to the specifics. On a side note I’ve been looking at a Carli lift for my new F250 and they have an option to add a set of full progressive Deavers in the rear. With...
I spoke with both Icon and Deaver and neither of their springs have any increase of payload and both companies stated their springs were not built for towing. If you just ask, they will tell you themselves. I asked about 600-700 lbs of tongue weight from my trailer and Deaver said that’s way...
I bought new so didn’t have to worry about some of the stuff but one thing to consider is towing or hauling large amounts in the bed. The payload and towing capacity is considerably less on these trucks than anything else in the class. If you pull anything of size it’s something to think about.
I’m not sure how many posts I have, I’d bet it isn’t 50 yet. But I sold my truck yesterday and pulled the BD Fog light kit off of it and wanted to know if I could post it up for sale on here?
Maybe I should’ve posted this here first instead of general area.
I’m looking for some knowledge from those with experience towing with the 2nd gen. I’ve got a 19 Screw and looking at getting a 32’ travel trailer, 6400 lbs dry with GVRW of 7995 lbs, tongue weight is just over 600 (per the...
Hey guys, I’m looking for some knowledge from those with experience towing with the 2nd gen. I’ve got a 19 Screw and looking at getting a 32’ travel trailer, 6400 lbs dry with GVRW of 7995 lbs, tongue weight is just over 600 (per the manufacturer). It will have WD hitch also.
Has anyone towed...
I love Jeeps and have had several from 97-17. Loved them all and never had any issues with TJ’s or JK’s. Never owned a JL but my brother has one and hadn’t any issues either. I’ve put thousands of miles both on and off road with mine. Only things I did not like were the interiors (just not...
I have them on my 19’ and have loved them so far. No noises or clunking at all. Wonder if they forgot to tighten something back all the way or something to that extent. I’d go back and let them know what’s going on and see if they can replicate the problem and fix it.
FWIW I spoke with Scott at Deaver today, and he said their springs are not designed to hold up heavy tongue weights. I’m looking at 600-700 lbs for my trailer.
x2 for the Lomax
had mine for about 2 months now and really like it so far. I like that it’s easy to totally remove from the truck, it doesn’t take up any bed space like the roll up covers do. Easy install as well. And super low profile
Just make sure you look at offsets. That could give you rubbing issues if you put on 35’s with crazy offset. Half the people on here don’t use their Raptor for what it’s made for, yet almost all of them will act like you’ve banged their sister if you do anything that “detracts” from its off-road...
wanna know the worst part of those trucks. When you’re out driving and your kids see one of those grills and say “ he’s gotta truck like yours dad”. Then I feel like a failure as a parent.
