Good info, and I agree with you. I dont drive all that much and eventually this truck will become solely for fun play time in the desert, so Im leaning the kings.
I am currently running the E-CLik and the stock OEM live valves. The set up works wonders for light off-roading and the street. But after a recent trip to Baja, I just need more shock. I am going to through bed bypass in the rear, so I wont be able to keep the E-CLik in the back. So, now my...
Sorry for the delay, been a busy Christmas Season. I just bent the brackets holding the brake lines back to clear. I have no rubbing with them bent out of the way.
I would have to jack up the truck to test it. I do remember having to bend the brake line mounts in some fashion to get them to sit right. I may be working on the truck this weekend and Ill report back to you.
I used the RPG mount, it works pretty well. I made a small modification to make it more stable, not sure its a must. I am 6'3" and the GPS doesnt block enough for me to be concerned. I like the idea of the fold down mount, but I am not paying $500 for it. I have been told BAJA HQ makes a mount...
My local dealer HB Ford in southern California, one of the hottest markets for these truck, has 8 on the lot with one 37. Been there for 2 weeks. Asking $30k ADM, last month they were asking $50K ADM. I have no idea what they are actually getting though. Come January, they will be asking MSRP...
Not really, the tie rod end can limit pivot angles and overall suspension droop. The half tie rod allows the wheel to articulate more if you have other mods like aftermarket UCA’s or Mid travel kits.
This is precisely what the live valve technology does. The different modes are designed to take on different levels. Example, in street mode, you are not going to hit big dips, or g-outs, you want it to remain more level with less body roll, so the shocks are turned in that direction. The still...
Think of it a dampening ratio table. Based on vehicle speed, position of the arm (derived shock position) and speed of arm movement (derived Shaft movement) the compression is adjusted at X number of times a second. I think the gen 3's are 100-200 times a second or something. Switching modes...
Are you running a tuner of any kind?
I have had the same thing happen to mine about a half dozen times. I was running the COBB tuner and it only happened with their tunes. I took the tuner off, unmarried the truck, for a while and it didn't happen. I put a tune back on, and BAM it happened. So...
I could not get the springs to compress much at all while on the truck. I took the shocks off and took it to my local tire shop. It was like $150 to put them on plus an alignment.
My local dealer is asking $50k ADM for the two they have on the lot. I dont know what they are actually selling for as I just looked at the sticker...............
True, my truck was making the noise from the start. And perhaps I have really crappy ford dealers around me. (I DO) This is my first Ford, I have been a GM guy my entire life. Ford Service has been very disappointing.
Make sure there's engine oil in it! Seriously, recently got mine and it was extremely low.
I would try to negotiate the cam phasers right away. See if they will do it before you take it off the lot. Its been a nightmare to get it back into a dealer for it recently.
Just checking back into this conversation and good catch there.
With SDI, there is a lot of adjustability, as stated above and you have the addition of payload setting that you can adjust your rear if you are towing or carrying a heavy bedload.
SDI also revalve's your shocks and this makes a...
