Random question for the folks who attended…do they require helmets? Did they provide full face or open face helmets? I have a full face from my track days, wondering if it’s worth bringing it on the flight over.
Lol considering 99% of people in this forum are asking/talking about mods that reduce all aspects of performance, tinted lights fits right into the theme =)
Talking to friends who have been in the offroading industry for decades, don’t go beyond factory bfg 37s if you want to maintain reliability when high speed offroading. Upgrading to midtravel won’t help on the reliability end either. The truth is upgraded trucks break down far more often than...
F137N is exactly what I use. It’s fast and easy, plenty of clearance all around. I absolutely love it. Side note sludge at the bottom of a pan is the most ridiculous thing I’ve heard. Maybe because I’ve done 5k intervals with all my modern cars and always drove the car around the block before...
Sorry to hear about your tie rods, sounds like an unfortunate circumstance? I have nothing technical to add, other than I’ve taken my 37pp on 4 off road road trips and have never experienced this. There are also speed bumps I’ve taken (in Mexico of course) at over 70mph semi regularly without...
I hear you, I feel the same way. Only reason I'm on the fence at this point is the loud popping this setup has when (presumably) the driver is letting off the gas.
Thank you!! Well that’s pretty annoying considering I have my relays close to where the other aux wires are lol. Aux 1 is the only upfitter I have left and wanted to use it for upgraded fogs.
THANK YOU thank you thank you!!! You have no idea how much time this saved me. GJ was close to useless for install support, even tried to claim everything was identical to the gen 2. You made my install straightforward and painless. Thanks again.
Has anyone here actually bottomed out the rear? I did at 70 mph, the gen 3 doesn’t feel any better at bottom out protection than the gen 2 did. I have RPG bumps installed now, but haven’t had a chance to test them out yet. Can’t wait to see how they perform! Just like my gen 2, the rear tends to...
Never use loctite on spacers. Standard installation is to torque to 150 ft lbs without lubricant, and check torque after a few hundred miles or so. Just like you do when installing wheels. After that check the torque every tire rotation and after ever hard off road run, just like you do with wheels.
Not that it matters because my profession seems like it’s being dragged through the mud here, but I am an engineer as well. You are spot on. Basic physics. I encourage anyone interested in the topic to physically draw out their own free body diagram and post it as proof of their opinion before...
This is a complete non issue. I raced the ARA circuit as a novice for years, and helped out on pro teams for equally as long. Spacers are common, we use them all the time in race conditions that far exceed forces a raptor will ever see. Rally is far harder on wheels and hubs than a guided tour...
If you went larger the ford letters and/or bottom part of the grill would block the lens unfortunately. I spent months thinking about this trying to make a solution with high output work. I ended up not doing behind the grill.
Agree with everyone here, pump gas isn’t going to get you close to a TRX if you are being practical. I’ve been on goose’s E50 tune and I am pretty sure I could knock out a 0-60 in 4.0 with good traction. One day I went to my local station to refill an E50 mix and the E85 wasn’t available so I...
