Just got back from a week in southern Utah. If you get a chance go east of Kanab to wire pass and buckskin gulch trail head. Amazing slot canyon hike. Zion was amazing and angel’s landing kicked my ass but was well worth it. But the most unexpected part of the trip was the drive from escalante...
I was installing a Foutz motorsports rear diff skid plate. It used 6 bolts on the bottom of the diff, I went to remove them and they were finger tight. I used a lube locker gasket and torqued all the bolts to 33 ft. Lbs when I installed it. No leaks which is shocking. The tightening of the bolts...
I would be careful with getting into a situation where you need the bumpstop you have installed. It looks like there’s no landing pad on the axle. I guess the traction bars may keep front to back movement to a minimum but if you pinch one of your lines it would suck.
With all the tech and other ways to listen to music I got a laugh out of a antenna reception debate! I did replace my antenna awhile back with a cab height version. But haven’t tried any radio stations with it. I was just tired of scraping it on the garage door.
I just bought the cheapest truxedo cover and tried to learn how to sew. It keeps most of the dust and eyes out. I ran around the area for awhile and tried the hill about 10 times getting a little further each time but I only ended up half way before scaring the shit out of myself. You have to...
Took her on a 2200 mile loop from CO to NM to AZ to UT and back to CO. No issues at all. If you get a chance hwy 12 from Escalante to Boulder Utah is an amazing drive. And on my way through I found Swingarm city in cainville.
Did you torque to 450 ft lbs with the new bolts? I made the mistake of torquing these with the truck in the air and had to redo them with the truck sitting on its own weight.
It’s a pain but selling the parts here will net more money then leaving them on. It would be great to find someone that knows what you have and how much it all costs. Good luck
Didn’t expect to hear Substation and panel lug talk. I’m a Troubleman/Lineman and was taught A over C always. I haven’t heard the mother in law comment but that no OX shit gets everywhere.
CDI is owned by snap on and makes very similar made in the USA torque wrenches. They’re available on Amazon last time I checked. A 1/2” 10 to 250 lb is $180
Yep that’s exactly what it will do. I think the easiest way is the fautz motorsport kit but there are other kits that strengthen the area. Once the alignment is done it locks everything in place.
Thought I’d take a pic of the back up camera with some Ford content. After 10 years in a ram 550 I finally got a new company truck. It has the 6.7 with the 10 speed so I’ll see what she can handle.
To add another variable, he owned a 2017 that was way more modified and I’m sure was driven the same way. He never had a problem that I know of with it. I don’t want to get into the stock vs. modded discussion, but do the other members that are having issues have a live valve trucks?
The newest unit supports B&O system. I don’t get charged to use the navigation. I came from the small 800a screen so I like the bigger screen. I was able to add a front camera and have Apple CarPlay that allows me to use Gaia maps for trails. I had the cheep sync so no loss for me.
The KHC kit is well thought out and I think is worth it. It’s not just the pipes. The bracket for the exhaust hangers worked great and everything fit perfectly. No drone or added noise that I noticed.
I think we all glossed over the most important part. Getting to experience the class with your dad would be worth the trip for me. As we all grow older, sharing the same hobbies with your dad will only create lasting memories. I went a couple of years ago and enjoyed it.
