I wanted to retain stock functionality of the Auto Start Stop system but didn't want to have to switch it off. After much internal debate of all the options I sprung for an Autostart Eliminator. I didn't want to always have to look at the bright ass OFF light on top of my dash so I popped the...
@Specialtyperformanceparts rigid light kits installed! Went with 4 Radiance Scene up front that are on one switch, and 2 Radiance to use as semi-street-legal fogs if needed on another switch. Also put in the rear Radiance Scene as well. Decided to heat shrink on connectors to all the upfitter...
Figured I might as well track what I do on here! Nothing too crazy but who knows...the addiction may set in. Anywho, here's my 2019 Performance Blue that I bought CPO (1 owner / 12k miles) from Brandon Ford in Tampa...also a pic of it the day I picked it up, bone stock, on April 15, 2020. It's...
@eralivos Have you noticed any wind noise with these? I have 4 Radiance Scenes + 2 Radiance in my fog openings and was thinking about doing the same A-Pillar setup to complete it. Sticking with the stock bumper and don't want to do a roof light bar to prevent wind noise. You know...practical...
Hahaha, well I’m single but pro tip #2 for those who can use it. Yea it’s nice cause you don’t have to worry about fucking it up or locking in your decision.
I crimped and put heat shrink disconnects on all of my aux leads so I can adjust as needed in the engine bay too. For example I have six...
I’ve seen people posting about paying upwards of $30-$40 for custom aux switch labels and frankly they don’t look great with the black background since the switches are actually really dark gray. The moment I saw them
I knew what these folks selling them were doing, and I already had the stuff...
This is why I was sold on Cobb from the get go on my Raptor. I’ve seen from personal friends how great they are with Porsche’s and Subaru’s.
I was always sold on Cobb, was really just curious if TCM was worth it. This thread went just a little haywire lol
I am okay with the $80 because I wanted to retain on/off functionality of the button...which you don’t get with forscan, unplugging under steering wheel, or plugging into the trailer plug. I know a lot of people thought it was a rip-off for what you get, but actually opening it up and realizing...
You’re using the internet right now...99% of every component and system that goes into that glorious thing granting you unlimited, instantaneous access to mail order brides, Raptor porn, and regular porn comes from China. /endpointlesspoliticaldebate
So I’m one of those jackasses who spent $80 (on sale) on an Autostop Eliminator...or am I? Yes, I tried forscan but didn’t like the way it adjusts the whole BMS system vs just A.S.S. so I sprung the money.
Anywho, in case you’re wondering...I removed the cover and this is what it looks like on...
Wasn't able to find too many reviews on what folks thought, so I'm curious from anyone who has the Cobb TCM option on their Accessport, would you say it was worth it?
I got the Accessport installed on my stock 2019 with the Stage 1 93 Octane...don't pay for gas so everything I own always runs...
Wow! Did not expect this thread to go down the route that it did lol. Have to say thank you to everyone who provided this abundance of information.
My own personal choice, due to the overall uncertainty of what the results of disabling BMS via Forscan could do, I ordered an Autostop Eliminator...
Correct. For anyone who runs into this issue in the future. What I did was only disable the feature, and the switch. It still
A quick google search leads me to believe it operates very similarly to F150 programming. It’s real easy to use and as long as you back up your original files before...
So long story short...if you disable BMS to get rid of auto start. Don’t be a dumbass and run your battery down lol. I always monitor my battery when I am running accessories for any reason without the engine running so I’m not worried there.
I do have a Cobb Accessport on the way anyways so...
Yea I'm going to leave it on until my Cobb Accessport comes in, the fact that it's something to do with the battery is a little concerning still. My understanding with the Cobb is that it will keep the full functionality of the system but remember to keep it turned off if it was off when you...
Yup that did it. Apparently everything did work fine, I just didn't actually drive the truck to test and assumed since the icon was still on the dash that it didn't work.Out of curiousity, does anyone know what else happens by disabling the battery management system?
Ohh, so the gray icon will remain on the gauge cluster screen even though it’s disabled? And the button essentially does nothing now? I didn’t try driving with it, I just noticed the gray icon was still there after recoding so I figured it didn’t work.
Hey all! Only one week into Raptor ownership...while patiently waiting for my @Specialtyperformanceparts Rigid light kit to come in I decided to get started on some FORScan tweaks today. Got the Lincoln style mirrors going, remote controlled windows, and changed the turn signal from a 3 count to...
So I grew up in Fords...moved to Florida as a young professional and decided to get a BMW. Cool BMW's attract a few things down here in Florida...
Judgmental looks, because I am automatically...a douche who does not know how to use turn signals.
Judgmental looks, because I am...
I bought a Raptor...yesterday, so naturally I started googling how to blind all the Florida drivers around me who piss me off. I wound up on a thread here with a discount code for Specialty Performance Parts. The jew in me was so satisfied with 10% savings (I mean what else do I use for JO...
