Hey all! Only one week into Raptor ownership...while patiently waiting for my @Specialtyperformanceparts Rigid light kit to come in I decided to get started on some FORScan tweaks today. Got the Lincoln style mirrors going, remote controlled windows, and changed the turn signal from a 3 count to a 5 count...all working perfectly. Disabling auto start/stop though? I could use some help with this one.

I have a 2019 with the 802A and Tech package. I first tried to just disable it by changing BCM 726-48-02's second digit to 0. It didn't do anything and I had read that on some random years/trims you also have to disable the switch for it to work, so I also tried changing FCIM 7A7-01-01's 6th digit to 0. Well it disabled the switch but still doesn't turn off the feature. If this wouldn't be a nightmare... I reverted everything back to normal for now of course so I can just click that pesky button every time I get in the truck.

Has anyone else had this issued or know of a solution? My ideal situation would simply be that the auto start/stop feature is off by default when I turn the truck on, but I can still turn it on with the button if I want. Will this ever happen? Probably not, but I still like to maintain all intended functionality just because. I'm probably going to pop the button off once I do this and cover the orange OFF LED back there since you already have your indicator on the gauge cluster anyways.

Forscan disables it by disabling the battery management system. Doesn't hurt the truck at all, but it turns it off off. If you want to be able to turn it back on you can blow $100 on autostop eliminator or unplug the trailer connection.

Ohh, so the gray icon will remain on the gauge cluster screen even though it’s disabled? And the button essentially does nothing now? I didn’t try driving with it, I just noticed the gray icon was still there after recoding so I figured it didn’t work.

If the icon is grayed out then it is disabled. There is an IPC change you can do which removes the icon from the cluster (I didn't bother with it).

IPC 720-01-01 xxxx 1xxx xxxx

Yup that did it. Apparently everything did work fine, I just didn't actually drive the truck to test and assumed since the icon was still on the dash that it didn't work.Out of curiousity, does anyone know what else happens by disabling the battery management system?

No, but I have had it disabled 2 years. Have not seen any adverse effects.

Yea I'm going to leave it on until my Cobb Accessport comes in, the fact that it's something to do with the battery is a little concerning still. My understanding with the Cobb is that it will keep the full functionality of the system but remember to keep it turned off if it was off when you shut the truck off last.

I have a 2019 802a and did the Forscan mod "disabling" the auto start/stop feature. What Forscan is doing is telling the auto start/stop feature that the battery management system says that the truck needs to charge, so don't engage the auto stop.

It doesn't change or affect anything about the battery management charging system or anything else.

You're not disabling the disabling the battery management system at all.

Makes perfect sense that once the engine stops running you're actually killing the battery with the auto start/stop "feature"

I was going to turn off auto start/stop in my truck but after driving around with it, I'm actually happy to use it. The biggest deal is the truck automatically disables this feature when in sport or baja mode which is all I really care about. It's nice having the engine shut off during traffic jams to lighten engine and fuel use.
