Even further update….. Traded in the Gen 1 for a Gen 2. I had put everything back together and it still wasn’t right, I had enough lol. I just picked it up today, I’ll post an update after I drive it for a bit.

Even further update, the diff is assembled and back in the truck, hubs and ball joints replaced, IWE’s replaced, and everything is bolted back together. Just as I was double checking everything I noticed the vacuum lines for the IWE’s were broken and one side had a hole in it, so off to Ford...

Further update, I dropped a shim on the garage floor and it shattered, the local Ford dealer measured and ordered me a new one which will be here Wednesday, the new side bearings have been pressed on, the new drivers side axel bearing is installed, the 2 broken cover bolts are out and re-tapped...

I was only able to attach 5 pics here’s a couple more of the lovely silver slurpy and the bearing that caused this mess.

Update…..front diff is out and disassembled, the bearing on the drivers side where the cv axel goes in had worked its way almost out of the case, I will post some pics but I didn’t take too many as I was crawling around underneath the truck for hours, the IWE’s were toast both made a crispy...

I figured out the previous owner had a Temu leveling kit on it that caused most of the issue, I just ordered OEM ford bearings for the diff, new front hubs, axels, and I’m not sure what IWE to put on, will the vacuum delete ones work? Or use OEM? Along with lower ball joints, in a couple weeks...
