Dunno. Would they need to remove it to replace the front pinion seal beneath the driver's side? It's the only thing I can think of. Like I said, I haven't driven the truck since I brought it back home from the dealer a few weeks ago so I'm really leaning towards them forgetting that bushing when...
No, I'm unable to move the shifter at all. Currently it is in the "park" position, but shows it being in reverse. I just started the truck and found it to be in "reverse." I know where to access it from the center console, is there somewhere beneath the truck I can look as well?
Sucks, the last...
So, here's a new problem. Went to start the truck with the FordPass app, tried twice and both times it beeped with a message saying "failed to start." Went out, hopped in, the brake pedal is stiff and I'm only able to get accessory power. However, I noticed the gear selector shows the truck is...
Update on the leak. They were able to confirm it was the pinion seal that was leaking. Took it in Monday, took a day for parts, then they were able to fix it this morning. It only took a few hours.
Follow-up question that may or may not be dumb, but would the driveshaft connected to that transfer case spin freely while 2H is engaged? I ask because the shaft does not spin freely despite being in 2H. Meanwhile the shaft on my dad's F250 does. Of course, I was wondering too if the fact that...
Yeah, that might make more sense, lol.
Yep, looking at some other photos online, that's looking like it might be the case. I'm assuming you took it to a dealer? How long did you end up without your truck?
Afternoon gents,
I was prepping the truck for some undercoating last night when I spotted what appears to be a leak beneath the driver's side right behind the control arm knuckle on my '19. Having a bit of a brain fart at the moment, but I want to say it's the front diff or possibly...
I keep telling myself I won't be making the trip out west again this year, but I go through your pictures on all your posts and it makes it very difficult to resist the temptation!
Now that I'm looking at the pic posted by nikhsub1, I think I do remember seeing that rod in the rail near the tailgate. It's definitely not there now. Though if it fell out or something I don't know how I could've missed it, lol.
I'm not sure, I suppose I am considering the pics. But what's weird to me is that I haven't had this problem until up to a few months ago. It locked just fine. Haven't noticed any pieces missing, either, but clearly something happened to where it won't lock on the passenger side anymore. It...
I'm relieved to see someone else have this issue. I've got the same model cover and noticed it after a road trip a few months ago. I've had the cover for over a year and has only been a recent development. I know for sure it wasn't happening before that trip.
I'm pretty sure I know what you're talking about. It happens after shutting off the truck? Takes a second or two before it starts humming? If so, I've had it happen to me plenty of times. Never figured out what it was, but I always take a few seconds after everything starts powering down and...
Right, it will shut off after idling for 30 minutes. And that will happen regardless if you're still in the truck or do the remote start/extend time as well. Like sixshooter stated though, a message will pop up on the dash saying it will shut down unless you acknowledge the button. But each of...
Interesting. I've got a '19 with 33K miles and every once in a while mine has shut down when I've remote started it for up to 30 minutes. Once it shut down while entering the truck, but thought maybe I accidentally hit the fob button in my pocket against the seat. Recently it happened a few days...
Same thing happened to my '19 after about three months of ownership. Went into deep hibernation mode, all that jazz. But that was back in March of 2020. Had it towed to the dealership and they threw a new battery in it under warranty. Haven't had any issues after that. Although there was a...
I passed a magnetic gray gen2 yesterday near my home, caught me a little off guard. He waved from the steering wheel and I did the same last second. Probably one of the only fellow Raptor owners I've seen wave, though I might've only ever waved once myself. Normally I'll just bellow out...
Last night I was driving past a road sign and noticed it looked like the reflecting light from my headlights was flickering. Didn't think much of it until I stopped at my parents and walked around the front and noticed that the high beam light on the passenger side was on when it shouldn't have...
Hey all,
I'll be going on a four day mini excursion to Michigan (hitting up the dunes at Silver Lake) in a few weeks and am planning on exploring the upper peninsula area for gits and shiggles for a few days as well. I've scoured the forum and a few other sites online (even Gaia), but I don't...
What is it about the CVT that would make you reconsider? I've got the same setup minus the RTT yet, but I was leaning towards the CVT Pioneer Series Bachelor. I've been debating on whether or not to shell (heh) out the money for a hard shell, but wasn't sure if the extra money would be worth it.
Long reply incoming,
I love my truck ('19), way more than I ever thought I would. Normally I jump into a new vehicle every few years, especially if it's an upgrade and expected to do the same when the next gen rolled around. But my Raptor... Man, this truck is awesome. Everytime I get to fly...
