Retrax Allignment Issue

So yeah the lock handle is on the driver side, but the locking mechanism underneath is on both sides, only one side on yours though. I can take more pics tomorrow for you.

@CTK59 Here’s the setup. I’m actually planning on switching it up and going with a bed slide, but will keep the sides the same.

I now see that there is a silver channel underneath that appears to be there to house whatever mechanism ties the driver side lock to the passenger side latch. whatever goes in there is completely empty along with the passenger side latch like they just missed it in manufacturing.

I'm relieved to see someone else have this issue. I've got the same model cover and noticed it after a road trip a few months ago. I've had the cover for over a year and has only been a recent development. I know for sure it wasn't happening before that trip.

@CTK59 thanks. I'm missing all of the passenger side mechanism and anything tying the two together. Pretty frustrating something so substantial could be missed. More-so that throughout the very detailed troubleshooting with them that nobody at Retrax thought to have me check the mechanisms.

The pics provided above show the whole picture. There is a rod that goes from the driver side to the passenger side to engage the passenger side lock. Do you have the rod?

I'm not sure, I suppose I am considering the pics. But what's weird to me is that I haven't had this problem until up to a few months ago. It locked just fine. Haven't noticed any pieces missing, either, but clearly something happened to where it won't lock on the passenger side anymore. It started happening (at least from what I've noticed) after some pretty moderate high-speed off roading.

Now that I'm looking at the pic posted by nikhsub1, I think I do remember seeing that rod in the rail near the tailgate. It's definitely not there now. Though if it fell out or something I don't know how I could've missed it, lol.

Haven't confirmed this, but when purchased mine (Retrax PRO), was told one of the differences between Retrax and Retrax PRO was locking mechanisms on both sides.
