I was concerned that with high comparables and high value they wouldn’t total it and I’d have a bent truck.
Not sure how this thread turned into a Ford v Subie brand war topped off by a gay pride march. Not that there is anything wrong with that.
I had about 35-40k miles on it. I think the timing of the buyout was ideal. It was early in the Gen 2 model cycle and Gen 1’s were in high demand. Very happy with the result.
In my case I was at a deadstop in traffic and was rearended by someone at speed. Rear bumper was pushed into the frame which caused the frame to get bent up and the tailgate was damaged, and the bed was bent up. Also I was pushed into a car in front in a chain reaction so there was some front...
While I was at a deadstop my Gen 1 was rearended. Damage was to the rear but roughly comparable in intensity. The ins co totalled it and it didn't seem to be a close call. I was a bit surprised but not unhappy. Ended up with a nice check.
Dude - what was your question exactly? The only question was what was implied in the title "need advice" but other then "bent frame" there was no information. So no information and no actual question. What did you expect. The forum can be quite helpful but you get out what you put in.
This. There were previous threads and discussion on this. Essentially BO just tuned the existing Ford system. Its got lousy components so they could only do so much.

Yes 19/20 will have the new live valve shocks, and these help onroad as well as offroad.
To the OP, tough call given where you are. One path would say to just keep running it since its worked fine so far, and then you could wait to see what the 21s have in terms of the rumored read...
I did a fair amount of searching on the main F150 forums and other sources and despite some mixed reviews, I tried removing the safety labels. I was able to get the decal off, but I wouldn't say "readily", it does take a lot of persuasion. I wasn't happy with what was left on the sunvisor even...
This. When I got my '19 I disabled it, bc "fake engine noise" ewww. After a little time I concluded that it sounded better with the fake noise. Its a somewhat subtle difference in "tone", it makes the exhaust sound slightly deeper. That and the noise cancellation and I concluded that the...
Was going to post basically this. Do ALL of above, especially backup. Once you get into it the Forscan customization it's pretty cool. And def check and change your tire PSI. Truck looks great, good luck and welcome.
