The 10 year loans are killer with rate. We have a local credit union that does that. They are around 8%. We discourage that as much as we can. Financing that long and at that high of a rate you'll never get out of the vehicle until it's close to paid off.
Being in the industry I've heard most of those stories. All depends on the dealership though. Some dealerships look at each opportunity as their only shot with that customer so they "swing for the fences". Their approach is that they'll get everything they can because who knows if they'll...
We've done this for every specialty vehicle for the last 20 years.
As people come in asking about one and are interested in buying it we start a list. Date, customer name, address and contact info. Once we get product info, pricing and allocation information we start contacting the people...
Maybe you should try learning comprehension when you read something.....
I simply posted an example of what $10k difference in price reflects on a long term payment. Reality in this world is most people spend beyond their means. So yes a lot of people finance 6, 7 and even up to 10 years...
Everyone is entitled to their opinion.
I'm not here to justify market value. These trucks are ALL over the board with value plus we've seen what the Gen1 trucks have been doing and still do. So who knows if we're in the right range or not. Time will tell.
I've posted what we have to...
You never know, neither do we. It's a tough unit to put a number on because of the mileage.
The buyer for this truck will most likely be someone that wants a new Raptor really bad but just can't afford it. Even if someone did find a new one for $3k off this is still $10k less than that...
We just traded a 2018' Lead Foot Crew Cab 802A Raptor.
The guy is a friend/customer of mine. I sold it to him new.
Truck has 53,000 miles on it. He does a ton of driving for his work.
Over and above the 802A its got:
- Roof
- Tailgate applique delete
- Bead locks
- Orange accents
- Heated...
That could be the case. Once in a while we'll have units delivered on a 3 or 4 unit flat trailer but we're further from the rail yard. It's probably cost effective on the shorter to use a smaller truck. Not so much on the longer deliveries.
Was just pointing out that the Raptors do fit on...
Just FYI I think every one of our Raptors has been delivered on a regular carrier. Now they do only fit at certain places but they don't have to be hauled on a special carrier.
First of all you clearly don't have enough "shit" in your garage. It's way too organized and clean!
I'm seeing max boost of around 18 with my MPT tunes. I don't plan on street racing or really even beating on my truck. I just enjoy feeling the power from time to time. So I think at this...
Did you not install it or have it on and take it off for a particular reason?
If temps are accurate that people have posted here some of the aftermarket coolers are making 20 degree improvements over stock. If that is in deed accurate I'd think that's enough to make a difference.
Correct. I looked at that once because CJ Pony parts had an install video. My concern is that they advertise an average of a 10 degree reduction over factory temps. That doesn't sound like much. So I'm not sure it's worth $900 for 10 degrees.
OK sounds good. Just let me know ahead of...
That's a significant difference. IAT2 obviously also directly affects the engine temps since I was seeing 226 with ambient temps 15-20 degrees cooler than what you were running in.
I prefer to keep the the IC in the stock location. Can anyone chime in that's running one of the IC's that use...
My engine temp will stay around that range at cruising speed but under acceleration it will climb to the mid 220's.
What IAT2 temps do you see under an aggressive acceleration run?
TXRaptor thanks for taking the time to put that together. I had actually read the info on MPT's site and changed mine to a similar setup (I forget exactly which I set the wake and sleep to). Strange thing about mine now is that it doesn't always come on when I start the truck. Only some...
Please do that. I messed with the settings again a few minutes ago and still can't figure out which one will turn it on when the truck starts and start it up with the gauges displaying.
I did a WOT run today from a roll up to about 90 mph. Ambient temp was 78 and the IAT2 was at 120...
I messed with the settings on mine and now when the auto start stop activates the gauge shuts off but then turns back on when the truck re starts. It turns back on to gauge mode. However when I start the truck the gauge still won't come one until i touch it. Then it comes on at the main...
I can't help you with an 18' (trying to get an extra one right now for another CA customer but I don't know if that is going to happen). I can get you a 19' Would be at MSRP. I've sold 3 to CA customers already. I've sold 7 to forum members already. I have them shipped out there for a 4300...
Let me know what changes you want to make so i can do some homework ahead of time. Also need to know what year your truck is.
I've seen some info with dash cams affected by the heat and wondered if the nGauge might also be. We haven't had any hot temps since I installed mine.
Glad to...
With stock tune that doesn't sound far off from what the PRX91 with factory IC did as far as engine temp. I'm sure an upgraded IC has got to be a help.
I did the Forscan changes myself. Not that computer savvy but followed the directions closely and it was pretty simple.
If you want to...
Was the nGauge shutting off due to temps or from the auto start stop? i don't disable my auto stat stop and when the engine shuts off and stays off long enough the nGauge shuts off. I wish it would come on when the truck comes on and not shut off until the ignition is turned off, but that's...
Good info TXRaptor.
I personally don't want to do the lower t-stat. I know these motors need to be warmer for optimum combustion and it just concerns me what type of potential issue could show up over time from that. That's just my opinion though.
I'm a believer in the better IC. I...
With my MPT 91PRX tune I was seeing engine temps hit upper 220s while accelerating up a small mountain or just semi aggressive acceleration runs even on flat. I'm running the stock IC.
Also while driving on the highway at 65 - 70 MPH with no boost I am seeing 35 degrees diff from ambient to IAT2
