Getting closer to needing tires and have started my research again. Im having a lot of difficulty deciding what tires to go with.
My stock BFG's have been pretty damn good. I have 43k miles on them and other than the noise they make now I've been extremly happy with them. However I've read...
Hope all goes well for you Antho. Let us know the result.
Gladly smurfslayer. I gain a lot of knowledge through people on different forums so I'm happy to pay some of that back when I can.
I drove a 19' Raptor today.. Customer of mine that is very particular with his vehicles won't let...
You're welcome.
Not sure which strategy I have but here is a snip from the TSB. "Diagnostic Software (FJDS) release 108.04 or higher".
I'll see if i can find anything additonal
I still struggle to understand the mind set of some service departments. Yes we are in a tough spot between what Ford allows us to do and what they will pay us for yet all while trying to do the right thing for the customer. But blaming the running and shifting problem on the CAI is a bit...
I'm also a fuel mileage conscious owner. I bought my Raptor for a DD and drive it almost 20k miles per year. Unlike most others I've been pretty content with my stock BFG's and the traction they offer. Wet, dry and snow. I don't really see any mud because I'm too anal about condition of my...
Not surprised.
If you think about it most tire manufactures put rebates on 2 or 4 tires. So when replacing a set how often do people rotate the spare in? Also with no TP sensor in the spare that makes it more of a PITA.
Also how many people replace the tires with the same brand? So another...
It covers 17's. I had my truck done. Huge differences with my truck after the update.
PM me your vin and I'll run the TSB's on it. I can send you a vin specific TSB that you can take in to the dealer
I have a 17' and had the update done about 3 weeks ago. H U G E difference in engine and trans operation.
I have a some what lengthy thread in the engine section regarding a miss/hesitation/surge under moderate acceleration. I work for a dealership and we did hours of data logging and...
I just checked my catch can again. About 1/4 full of the same light colored chocolate milk liquid. It's pretty cold up here in the NE right now so I'm assuming that is mostly condensation that is captured along with some oil. Still wouldn't want that crap running through my intake, motor and...
Sorry i missed this when you posted it.

2017 F-150/Raptor - 10R80 Automatic Transmission – Harsh Or Delayed Shift Concerns And/Or Illuminated MIL - DTC P0711 - Built On Or Before 1-Aug-2017
Some 2017 F-150/Raptor vehicles equipped with a 10R80 automatic transmission built on or...
After putting several hundred miles on the truck since the update i just don't understand how Ford could have released the trucks originally with such poor programming. This update is night and day difference from how my worked. Now I see why so many people couldn't duplicate the...
I work for a Ford dealer so it's no problem for me getting it done. But I did have legitimate issues with driveability of the engine and trans. There is only 1 update but it does both trans and engine updates.
There are about 4 different driveability concerns that all fall under the update.
After a few days of driving the truck since the update and with the new MPT tune in the truck works GREAT! The update made a WORD of difference with both the hesitation/stumble my truck had. Plus the trans shifting now works like you'd think the trans should shift! I was hoping for some...
I've driven my truck for a few days now and probably 150 miles since the update was done. Yesterday I got my updated tunes back from MPT and loaded the 93PRX back in. The truck works GREAT now! Finally I should say!!
Tranny shifts like you'd expect it to and the hesitation/stumble is pretty...
That's probably true
I think its the update that makes the big difference. I'm pretty sure the tune just does multiplication off of the factory programming. So it wouldn't have any affect on the issues that the factory programming had.
I emailed my stock tune to MPT after the update and the tune does in deed need updated. I paid the $25 and am waiting for the updated version to come back. I can't imagine there is much time involved in adjusting it since the fee is only $25
Just FYI I had the update done to my truck yesterday. I have only driven the truck about 18 miles but it does seem significantly better. I'll wait a little for final judgement since the adaptive learning of the trans gets erased and starts over with the new tuning.
FWIW I also emailed my file...
