I have a 2 year old and we just had a baby 1 week ago. I got the Raptor because of the huge amount of space in the back seat for kids. I think its a great family car/truck.
I use Avenza Maps app. Similar with the other ones suggested you can download the map area that you are going and it uses your phones GPS to pin point you on the map. Started using this for mountain biking and you can download a lot of map areas around where I am for offroading.
Where are you all doing your oil analysis testing. Ive used Blackstone Labs on my BMW in the past. Is there a better option for these trucks with a bigger database for comparison. One thing I like about Blackstone is they compare your sample to like samples they get. Similar mileage on car and...
I think it was a cost decision by Ford since many other manufactures have rear door comfort access.
Keep us posted when you take it apart. It would be a nice feature to add if possible.
I think he is referring to unlocking the rear doors when just walking up and grabbing them. I think its annoying too that you cant do that. My X5 I can unlock/lock any door with comfort access.
I dont have a paint thickness gauge but mine look fine. Cant see the primer underneath. Ive seen other posts about thin paint around the headlights under the hood/fenders. Not really great QC with these trucks like it should be.
I went with the black in my 2019 because I have 2 toddlers and think the leather will hold up better than alcantara. Not sure if thats a factor in your decision. Generally alcantara doesnt wear well over time but its yet to be seen with these seats since they are fairly new.
This...when I tell people about Raptor Assault I always say that the jump is more for a cool picture than feeling like you're doing something awesome in the truck. You barely feel that you are jumping. But it definitely sounds good when you tell people you jumped the truck.
From what Ive read break in is only 500 miles. I was watching stock dyno videos earlier today and they are showing the hp and torque curve really "starting" at 3700 rpms. Could be just how the engine power is. I haven't really noticed a flat spot in mine. Could also be timing when you start...
Got the KN1Z module and its working great now. So now I have a 2018 JS7Z module in almost new condition. PM me if you are interested. I don't have enough posts for the for sale section yet.
So far so good. Ive only been off road with them once in the sand dunes...and I got stuck so they had lots of wear against them. I have used plastidip a lot in the past and find its only an issue if you curb the wheel. Then it starts peeling. On the truck the sidewalls are too tall to curb.
I think its 20 seconds to arm the alarm. So something is triggering it immediately when it arms the shock sensor. I was hoping someone had gone through it and already took it in for service for troubleshooting and had an answer so I don't have to take it in. Not worth it for the time and cost...
I thought about that but that is weird since no one else has this issue and I zip tied it to the recommended spot. Seems weird its exactly 20 seconds whether its cold or hot.
I tried it with the sensitivity all the way down and same issue.
Wondering if anyone else has had this issue.
I installed the shock sensor perimeter plus module recently and now after I drive, stop and lock the car. 20 seconds later the alarm goes off. I can unlock and re-lock and the alarm wont go off. Its only after I drive it and park.
I tried...
I think its a tire pressure issue. First thing when I got mine was drive it home 400 miles and it felt like that. Mine was set at the dealer to 48psi all around. Once I got home I lowered the pressure to 38 like recommended on the door and the "bounce" went way down. I usually run 37F; 34R now...
From what Ive researched the color is J7 Magnetic Metallic with a satin clear coat. A while ago I saw a video of someone repainting their fender after a ding with J7 + Satin clear coat and said it matched almost exact. I cant find that video though.
This makes me want to re-think painting my grill. I saw a few of the 17/18 blue and didn't like the look of a painted grill but yours with the performance blue looks good. Any daytime shots and angled shots?
Anyone else have rust behind the rear seats? 2019 picked up a few weeks ago. Didn't look behind the seats during inspection. Its on all the mounts. No moisture inside the truck at all.
Door sticker says 38. Mine came from the dealer at 49psi and was really bumpy. Lowered mine down to 38 and made a huge difference and lowered them slightly more. Running around 37 and am really happy. Also, my rain/wet handling has been pretty good...and living in Seattle that is important. I...
