To my understanding, Ford isn't going "into" formula 1, they simply bought the naming rights on Red Bull Powertrains...which is nothing but a relabeled Honda engine itself. Red Bull has spent way too much money getting their in house setup put together to hand it to Ford. Its a pretty naming...
It will undoubtedly align with the generation of this truck. Ford has to make a choice, probably already, if they wanted to invest in the 'R' variant design for the next generation. If the predator motor is dead, as mentioned above, then that was probably part of that choice.
Certainly possible. I will say, after the issues that I've had with the stock exhaust, and hearing about 3 resonators on the R exhaust, I would be very very inclined to get an aftermarket exhaust.
That being said, I have a Corsa on my GT350, and it has valve issues upon startup where it rings...
This is essentally the exact same issue that the ecoboost gen 3s have been dealing with since day 1. The spring replacement is typically for 2021-early 2022 builds. Mine is a mid 2022 and that spring replacement did not apply to me, I had to have the entire exhaust replaced. The new exhaust...
You can say that, but I don't have nearly as much space in my Gen 3 from the back of the driver seat to the back of the passenger seat as I did in my Gen 1. Might also be the stupid box under the seat that adds to the cramping as well.
Scratching head....has 3rd kid coming...so wants to get more room by trading a 5 seat SUV for a 5 seat truck?
Troll or doesn't understand you can't put children in the bed?
Sure, but your 23R is pre-refresh and new headlights, so I wasn't sure how that was going to carry over to 24. Based on discussion with my dealer, it sounds like I"m more in the MY25 range.
Someone over on the Gen3 sub section mentioned that the MY24 listing says it gets all of the Lariat...
That was a good catch on that verbiage. Thank you
I was pleased to see that the heated steering wheel was back as well. I still think that the digital dials are a thing of the past, which sucks.
Does anyone know if the dynamic headlights are being carried into MY24? I didn't see it on the build list sheet, and it only detailed it on the Lariat for some odd reason.
I have been looking at the build sheets and also digging into the forum and other forums, but can't seem to find a straight forward answer.
Does the MY24 Raptor R have dynamic headlights (turning headlights)? Its probably one of my favorite options about my MY22, and would really like to NOT...
I was able to get 55k miles out of the KO2s on my Gen 1 Raptor. Could have gotten more, but they weren't winter time safe anymore. Could have stretched them to 60k.
Based upon the replies from the OP, I feel this is nothing but an attention grabber post, with the potential of not even owning a normal raptor at the present moment.
I remember these type of 'build' conversations in my early 20s...then I grew up.
Dyno pull results. Put accelerometers onto the turbo turbine blades to show a delta in spool speed, put some actual numbers to words instead of simply using flash words that are overall unproven garbage.
I understand. So essentailly a bunch of words and butt dynoing.
Thats not directed at you, just getting tired of companies claiming stuff, with nothing to back it up.
