I just went to the dealer and showed the tech what I had discovered. The tech went underneath and said it seems like the inner tie rods. I left the truck for further inspection. I told the tech it seems to start/get more pronounced about 8 miles into a drive.
I just did some more testing regarding the thumping in the steering wheel. I believe I have narrowed it down the the steering rack/tie rods. Having the steering wheel/wheels straight then turning the steering wheel 180 degrees (raptor facing up top) I can feel the thumping. In that position if I...
Just got my truck back after they changed the lower steering shaft (due to the thumping in the steering wheel). It’s still thumping. Let’s see what Ford says to change next.
I picked up the truck and drove it for the time being. It won’t cause any damage if driven. They called and said the part is on so I took it back. I’ll call for an update tomorrow.
My friend just picked up his new Gen 3 - 37pp. I drove his and it also has the same clunk/thump in the steering wheel. I dropped off my truck to the dealer for them to replace the lower steering shaft as Ford recommended.
I'm going for the clock spring/turn signal cancelation mechanism. This video should be some evidence for the dealer to look into it. Does your turn signal switch/handle ever feel like it's hard to manually turn off after use? There have been many issues with the turn signal switch/handle being...
This is exactly what happens to mine. Dealer placed order. It doesn’t happen every single time but it happened when I was at the dealer. Only 600 miles on my truck.
The door doesn't make too much contact with that seal. My passenger side is tight and doesn't rattle like this driver side one. It's the exact rattle I heard while driving.
I found out the rattle on my 2023 with 600 miles is the driver side rear door pillar seal. Open both your doors and check the pillar seal on the rear door. It's the one that runs vertical and has a "felt" texture. Mine is real loose and the dealer has placed an order. I hear this when the wind...

Update: 09-02-23: Still waiting for the lower steering shaft to come in (Ford told the tech to change the lower steering shaft). I don't believe it's going to fix the issue. I think it's the shocks.
I just purchased a 2023 37PP with 580 miles on it now. I currently feel the "thumping" feeling in the steering wheel and floor. It's currently at the dealer. I took the two main techs and shop foreman on a test ride, and they all felt the thumping. The tech said he posted this issue on their...
