Compromise the American way...do both!
Two LPs in outboard positions, and XLs in the center... Maybe two of the new laser XLs in positions 2 and 4 for distance (though those would work better mounted higher, perhaps on A-pillar mounts) and one regular XL80 to act as a fill in the center.
Agree...or possibly at Ford in their wheel and tire department.
I’ve yet to see a factory wheel and tire with the red dot (or the yellow one depending on your preference) properly aligned over the valve stem. I’ve even seen a few pics of aftermarket wheels and tires here with the tires...
I know this was discussed for gen1 trucks in this thread, but thought I’d start the discussion for us Gen 2 folks. Clearly there’s a lot that has to go into a real and safe solution...check valves, emissions controls, etc. otherwise we’d see these out there already.
Despite the fact that my...
So built-in trans cooler and potentially more cooling/surface area and/or thicker core? I assume all metal construction...
You have my attention.
Looking forward to updates (I assume after the new year). I have a couple high flow Spal fans left over from an old race car project...got the...
I’ve been eyeing that bumper from KHC myself... Is there a port for the stock spare tire access port (where you insert the rod to crank it down) behind the plate?
Haven’t built up the courage to tint my taillights yet...and want a hot dry day to spray anyway. However, went ahead and tinted the amber covers on my KC Flex lites so I can use them continuously as marker lights:
3-4 very light coats of VHT “nite shades” on the inside of the covers. Looks...
^^ This.
I currently run my lights individually through separate upfitters because I’m not drawing too many amps yet. When I add more lights, I’ll need to combine some of them...and when I step up to a large bar (or winch) up front, I’ll need to run a relay anyway. Probably should have just...
Why not put the snow tires on your stock wheels and your Summer/3-season tires on the 20” rims? I prefer a lot more sidewall in snow and ice...and hidden potholes.
For the tires you list, Nokkian all the way.
That’s the route I took/am taking. Bought the Vorsteiner 601s when they were on...
Just home... MUCH brighter backing into the garage. Didn’t take any pics though.
Will get my son to take a couple when he gets home in a bit and edit this post.
Installed mine today...and yeah, much easier installation with regular bolts for the exhaust side of the bracket. Either that or grind down an allen key to fit between the bracket and exhaust...or drop the exhaust I suppose.
I just turned the bracket 90 degrees with the mounting bolt almost...
Got the backup lights in...
Pretty easy install with rhe Raptor-specific wiring loom from BD... I’ll post a couple photos with some tips in the BD backup light thread in the Lighting sub-forum.
Man, where were you 6 weeks ago?! :D
I would have driven to my brother’s place near ATL to swap with you...already picked one up from a wrecked truck, but have my appliqué tailgate for sale in the garage sale section.
:deal:
Mine is Lead Foot though... Local paint shop charged me $300 to...
LOL, you must have received the last two in the country. Tasco cancelled my order because they’re sold out with no estimate for when they’ll be back in stock.
At least I have my BD reverse lights to put in this weekend!
Put in the FRL splash guards that I should have ordered with the light kit:
Had no idea these existed until I happened upon them while looking at something else on their website. Not too tough to install, but would have been exponentially easier to drill the holes for the push-in plug mount...
Since we’re doing SCABs... Nothng special, just really liked the way the Leadfoot looked in this light when we came out of our daughter’s guitar recital this morning:
I have him on ignore... what’d I miss?
Actually belay that...don’t care enough about what that thread shitter has to say to have someone quote him.
OT: good luck in your hunt...did the same with my appliqué tailgate. I wound up buying a plain tailgate off a wrecked ‘17 F150 and had it...
Ordered the recessed Super Duty license plate lights to cut down on the backup camera glare. Also ordered BD backup lights and some amber covers for my XL80s; mainly as cheap rock protection.
Debating on whether I want to get some black covers as well and paint them body color...
Everything’s installed and finalized the wiring:
The custom wiring loom made for this setup with connectors for two Baja Design lights and the KC Flex was just about perfect. Really well made, and a nice option that I strongly recommend.
My only recommendation is that the loom needs to be...
