If you want something stupid easy check out the: Instant hitch receiver Rigid reverse light kit universal. Put the light in the trailer receiver, plug into the trailer plug. QED

does the truck see that as a trailer being hooked up?

Edit, geez, LOL. Thats sure not for everyday driving......

There was someone on here that used a single row 14" LED lamp between the hitch and the bumper, and it looked really good. I did some measuring and I ordered a single row 21" spot/flood combo on Amazon to see how it works. I will post some pics if it works.

yeah, the baja reverse lights are pretty nice. tight fitting, look good and light it up pretty well. its never as much light as you'd dream about having.

Ahh, you're definitely correct. I was looking at the wrong post. Yes, I'd imagine that Rigid unit does make the truck think a trailer is connected. Which would turn off the BLIS units.
