Just put some Rigid Radiance lights on my son’s Jeep... 10” bar under the push bar above the bumper and 2” cubes in the stock fog light locations (with adapters). They work just fine, but all I’ll say is I’m spoiled with my BD setup...XL80 Pros on SDHQ A-pillar mounts and Squadron Pros (spot...
Had my ‘18 a couple months now and quickly approaching my next oil change...first one on this vehicle to be done by me (dealer did one when I took delivery with 18K miles already on the truck). I very much prefer to do basic maintenance like oil changes, brakes, etc. myself so I know it’s done...
Yup... re: the wheels though, I actually love the design of the factory non-beadlock wheels, and picked up a set of the Vorsteiner 601s because it has a similar symmetry. Run the factory wheels in the winter.
Picture thread, so obligatory (older) pic of my truck:
Just my $0.02, but assuming any underlying cause is addressed you’re essentially resetting the clock to zero miles on your truck. Clearly wear and tear (especially on the trans) is still a factor, but the biggest wear item is the motor/engine assembly.
I’d keep it if you’re otherwise happy...
:bowroflwerd6:
It was a pain in the ass... Don’t know if the SCAB seat is different, but lifting the seat bottom didn’t do squat to move the seatback forward on my truck. Removed the headrest and had my very fit son pull the seat forward enough to fit my big blocky paw down there with a...
Ah... I think I linked to the diagrams in another post when I first started the journey. Will search after work... Believe you’re correct re: just needing the solenoid and possibly new arms (though I believe they’re the same), plus you’d need the loom extension that plugs into that for power...
Flex step and non-flex step tailgates are
Not compatible for adding the step.
Both have the channels for the stripper pole and the step supports, but the non flex step tailgate has a welded piece of sheet metal across the top under the plastic trim. I tried that route first...
Edit: You...
Mine was about $350 from a very good paint and body shop near me... I did all the disassembly/reassembly work myself.

I love BD lights, but really liked the finished look of the Ford Raptor Lights bezel, so went that route with BD Squadron Pro spot and wide cornering. Augmented those with BD XL80s driving/combo on SDHQ A-pillar mounts. Definitely meets my forward lighting needs!
I also wanted the single KC...
Wrapped the subwoofer in sound deadener...
I’d like to say that I can hear the difference, but no discernible change to my untrained ear. Maybe a bit less vibration...
Regardless, hardest part was getting the seatback pulled forward on my Super Cab truck. Very tight fit, and no side...
Do you need true winter tires or something for year- round driving that happen to also be M&S rated?
I’m a big fan of true winter tires with a lot of sidewall for driving on ice/snow...and the inevitable hidden potholes under the snow. So for me, stock rims with Nokian tires in the winter.
I like the look of the skid plate and lower bumper trim painted/sprayed with bed liner, especially on darker trucks; much better than the stock silver.
Looks like I have a project coming up!
Nice truck...and nice score on the special edition color for this year as well. Those seats are perfect for that truck too.
Almost went PB myself since I wanted a pretty specific set of options on a super cab build, but really wanted a non-metallic color, preferably Avalanche or Leadfoot gray...
Or you can simply remove the pipe that goes from the BOV up to the intake, and cap off the “nipple” on the back intake with a 1 and 1/8” diameter rubber chair leg tip:
