Only thing I’d add to this (or in lieu of the chain saw) is a good portable hand saw, maybe a folding limb saw (a lot faster than an axe), at least one headlamp (can count as a flashlight) and more water.
And maybe a 5-gallon container of gas well secured in the bed. Invariably there’s someone...
...only 500 or so miles since I installed the UPR version, but fresh oil change so I thought I’d go ahead and check.
Nothing when I opened the valve, so I went ahead and took a couple minutes to spin off the actual cylinder/catch can to do a visual inspection:
About a CC or so. Not enough...
This, or a bad ground, was going to be my suggestion... If it’s not the ABS sensor, you’re gonna have to go stem to stern, tracing every harness to be sure though.
Ugh...
Hope it’s something obvious and easily fixed like that wheel sensor/pickup.
Nice pic... I was able to get one in similar light a few months ago as well:
One of the primary reasons I really wanted either an Avalanche or Leadfoot truck; I love how the perceived color changes so dramatically depending on the lighting.
Asked and answered on page 1 or 2 I think...believe most posting here think SCAB > SCREW.
Screw’s an awesome truck, and the only choice for many due to family or payload needs, but there’s no doubt the shorter wheelbase SCAB is more nimble and better off road.
Looks promising! I think something like this is a no-brainer for anyone adding power or moving the intercooler up to the upper grill area. More power = more heat, and it’s not a linear curve.
Do you intend to do any testing with popular mods such as relocated intercoolers and/or lights...
Unless you actually removed your hood, it sounds like you may have a weak/under pressurized strut.
I assume Raptor hoods are physically heavier from the plastic “vent” insert and additional stiffening bends around the perimeter of the vent to compensate for the huge hole cut in the hood for...
Nice! Seriously considered doing this myself as well, and even contacted the V8 Raptor folks down near Houston. Decided I wanted the Supercab/short bed combination more than the V8.
Regardless...looks good and good luck!
So I finally took my truck in to have them troubleshoot the engine stutter at partial throttle, as well as the hard shifting in sport mode and wow!
They said they only did the recall reflash of the TCU, no ECU flash, but it’s completely different truck now. Much smoother in all modes and no...
24,500 miles... Almost due for an oil change and torn between converting to a metal pan so I can run a fumoto valve or just getting the Ronin plug for my plastic pan. Mine doesn’t leak (well, yet...now that I’ve jinxed it), but there’s something just wrong about a plastic oil pan.
May just...
Finally had a warm and dry day here, so I installed my custom tail gate emblem from Billet Badges:
I was concerned that the 3M adhesive alone, while very strong, wasn’t going to be enough until I realized the holes on the back are threaded (5mm x 0.8), and align perfectly with where the...
Just installed my UPR...short writeup in the “what did you do to your Raptor today” thread. Very happy with it and Nick hooked me up with a FRF deal...
Pros: OEM fit and finish (better actually), and a third line (plus check valves in both “clean” lines) that draws vacuum even under boost so...
Finally got around to installing my UPR catch can... Took me tens...yes, tens of minutes to install! :D
And half of that was figuring out how I wanted to run the lines, figuring out what tools I needed, and tracking down some Locktite blue for the mount threads. Directions didn’t call for it...
