Anyone having issues with shifts hanging when in Sport mode? I got a recent update from Whipple which helped smooth out the shifting, but occasionally it will "stick" in 3rd or 4th at like 5k RPMs and won't downshift even if I take my foot off the gas... It makes me avoid using Sport mode...
It's a fairly straightforward install to do in your driveway if you have the tools. Doesn't require a lift. An extra pair of hands is a bonus when you're lifting/bolting the new intercooler into place, but other than that it's basically following the instructions and swapping parts.
If you read my post above, you'd have read that the closed airbox is the new emissions airbox version for 18/19 trucks, according to Whipple. Not sure why the constant hate on Whipple from you... For the price, it was the perfect option for me. I wasn't looking to push the limits, just a little...
Whipple responded and confirmed that the intake I received is "the new 2018-2019 emissions" version.
I may heat-weld a DIY HDPE bracket to the side of the Whipple airbox to utilize the factory airbox anchor point for off-roading peace of mind. I believe that was a big omission on their part to...
I like the design, but feel like it needs to have a bolt hole to attach to the factory airbox anchor point (especially for a Raptor that's going to be bouncing around off-road). I also had to enlarge one of the plastic holes to get the threadsert to line up, then I still had to muscle the upper...
Got my Stage 1 kit and installed this past Saturday morning. The power boost is nice, but the transmission tune transformed this truck. The stock trans tune was utter garbage!
One question I have: the intake I received doesn't look like BIGDJE's in post 641 above. I have a flat filter and a...
I just put on Innov8 wheels (17x9 +0) with Toyo RT 37x12.5x17 tires. Also have Geisers and +3 Deavers. I had decent rubbing and massaged the plastic back with a heatgun. Just warmed the plastic and tightly folded it around the side of the inside fender. This got rid of 90% of the rub - still...
Just got my Innov8 wheels on with Toyo RT 37x12.5x17 tires. Suspension mods are Geiser front springs and RPG Stage 3 with +3 Deaver rear springs.
Wheels are 17x9 +0 offset.
Having ARP 12pt stainless bolts cerakoted black right now, should be ready to swap out soon.
Thanks to Scott...
I have Geisers and+3 Deavers, just put on 37x12.5x17 Toyo RT's, but with a lower offset than OEM (+0, 17x9 wheels). I rub slightly on the back/inside of the front wheel wells. I don't intend to cut a thing and by the look of it I can probably get away with some heat gun bending/massaging of a...
I got the same suspension setup installed 2 weeks back at RPG and loving it. Same Toyo RT 37x17 setup also going on in the next week.
The truck really should come from the factory with this suspension setup. It blew me away how much different it felt from stock (in a good way).
I installed the rails with the tailgate closed and a very small shim between rail and tailgate so that it was clamped at the perfect height to clear the tailgate.
However, my cover is about 1/4" too thin width-wise to properly sit on the rails (i.e. it doesn't clear the lips of the rails on...
