Going to just preface this post as I do not off-road much. I have my 3rd kid due in 6 weeks, and this basically tows our boat, and shuttles the fam around to and from the cabin and town.
was going to sell the raptor, and have Sintor do a build, but figured id save some $ and just Put into the...
We did almost everything we could. Took down 1-2% of pad, re-bedded, disc treatment. Looked for any blemishes and still squeeking like a 1970’s rusted hooptie vehicle.
but...... the brakes performance are top notch. Its night and day from stock.
Going to be trying to connect with Alcon...
Thank you. Im guessing an install issue but as noted above, Alcon has no direct customer support. So itd be alot easier to trouble shoot if so. The squeeking while driving is the main issue. I dont mind squeeking when braking, but driving theough parking lots everyone stares, and its not at my...
Went SVC tie rods, which was recommended per Alcon. Pads have been bedded 2x and no change.
its at another shop now, were going to see about removing a bit of the pad material 1-2% to see if that helps.
I will keep you posted but honestly, not pleased with the product or support. Alcon has distributors reply to customers questions, yet they cant do anything else. Alcon corp has been MIA to any attempts to reach out. im hoping its a shop install issue, but if its not resolved, im throwing stocks...
Anyone here install front and Rear Alcons on their Gen 2?
This process has been a nightmare, finally have them in and they squeek like no ones business. Ear screeching as I drive, even without brakes initiated.
Shop says its normal, Alcon says its not. And im into these for almost $7k...
i dont, but can see of I can grab them today and take one. It was on the lift for an Alcon install and noticed it. Had icons overnighted and totally forgot to grab them
Yes sir. See above.. my 18 shocks were done on the rear, and had to wait 6 weeks for rebuild or snag the fastest set (19’s swapped with Full Icon so were brand new)
Traded in for parts and only cane out $500 out of pocket. Gets me by for now
It was either that, or wait 6 weeks for my 18 shocks to be rebuilt. So i went with the 3 day solution. Traded in the old shocks foe $500 credit, and only paid $500 for new shocks.
For anyone asking if these fit on 17-18’s or gen 1’s 1the answer is yes. just put these on my 18 instead of waiting weeks for a rebuild. All you need is to purchase the live valve delete kit.
