Going to just preface this post as I do not off-road much. I have my 3rd kid due in 6 weeks, and this basically tows our boat, and shuttles the fam around to and from the cabin and town.
was going to sell the raptor, and have Sintor do a build, but figured id save some $ and just Put into the raptor.

im ordering the AC carbon wide body kit, and will be throwing 40’s under the truck.
Looking to see what gears you guys would recommend. Build is below

2018 raptor
Fivestar tune
Whipple intake
Whipple intercooler
SPD catted downs
Corsa race exhaust
Alcon Brakes
Spd Tie rods
Icon UCA’s
Icon stage 3 leafs (on order)
BDS 4” (i know this will catch flack, bought for tire clearance)
Amp runners
Will be running a 1” spacer with -44 20x10 methods

Thanks in Advance... and please, dont post negative comments. I know my build isnt for everyone, but its my truck and looking for suggestions not insults.

I dunno man I think you’re barking up wrong tree on this forum seems like all the knowledgeable “mod heavy” dudes are geared up for either over landing or true Baja sprints, not what you’re looking to do. I am 1000% sure it’s all doable just a matter of how much $$$ you’d be willing to throw @ it, & if you don’t care bout “bang for the buck” or whether it’d make more sense to start fresh w/ another build then have at it.

that being said I totally understand your question on gears b/c you’re adding a TON of unsprung weight & aero drag, I agree the Alcon brake upgrade would be a must for sure, But my guess is your time/$$$/efforts may be better served upgrading your turbos for better flow/power & focusing on keeping everything cool- consider upgrading the radiator & tranny cooler in addition to the Turbo IC. These newer vehicles w/ 7-10 speed trannies typically have the first few gears dialed in to multiply TQ just like having short gearing in your diffs, considering the Raptor has a 10 speed & already has 4.10s I think this is a huge reason nobody touches the gears.

gearhead in TX makes upgraded turbos & im sure there are now other vendors that do as well, I’m also aware there are shops who have done stroke jobs on these 3.5s punching em to 4.2 I believe.

I would definitely consider going that route to address the power vs gears + if you looked into doing building the engine whoever is doing it would also fortify/upgrade whatever else is easily accessible & makes sense while it’s torn down.

vs the alternative, which is that it’s highly possible w/ all these mods & truck already having some miles on it you wind up cooking the tranny or blowing the engine as a result of the mods @ gear swap lol

You mentioned sintor so I’m sure you’re more than aware the correct platform for what you’re trying to build is a HD diesel powered truck...

Thanks man. I will definetely look into bigger turbos. And yes, blowing the motor and tranny is a big concern. Truck has abt 36k miles.

I would definitely do 456 for a 37's and 488 for 40's.
A tune and a re gear should wake up the truck on 40's but you need to add a trans cooler if you will be off roading the truck.
