We ended up not making it to Cal City due to some issues on the trail. Overall did about 80 miles in the dirt and camped just outside on Boron. Pictures below.
The event has secured more than $7,000 in donated items so far, from Method and Raceline donating wheels, Camburg donating a rear housing, to Baja designs donating lights and countless Offroad companies sending swag (shirts and hats and stickers). We’re aiming for a $12,000 valued raffle this...
Closer to the event date there is an online sign up for an event t shirt and to register. It the event is always off the 15 freeway, outlet center drive exit. Once you’re there, there are a few mapped out areas for trash collection. Hodge Rd and behind the outlets are good area for trash...
Hey there,
An organization called Clean Dezert is hosting a BLM land clean up event on November 14th, 2020 in Barstow CA. Last clean up there was around 800 participants and we provide lunch and a huge raffle including many off-road parts and gift certificates for wheels, lights, fiberglass...
Finally got around to painting my rear bumper. Used 200 grit sandpaper to get the surface rust off and used painters paper to mask everything off. Bought 2 cans of Steel It but only used one and this job. I’m looking for something else to Steel It now, this stuff was expensive and don’t want it...
Planning a 90+ mile Offroad trip Saturday August 8th to Sunday August 9th. Gonna start in Barstow and end just south of California City. Mostly fire roads and a few cool stops along the way including the husky monument and a few plane crash sites.
If you’d like to join, we’ll be meeting off...
I used a RAM ball mount to hold my phone. I use the onX Offroad App for my Offroad adventures. Holds extremely well both on and off road with minimal bouncing in rough terrain.
I ended up lowering the PSI to 65 and they run a lot smoother on road. You can still feel them in a big dip or going up a curb, but much more manageable for daily use at this PSI. Still on lower perch at the moment. Mid perch in future, then I’ll probably move the PSI closer to 100.
I have heard good things about Cali raised.
just my 2 cents.... I went through a few pairs of budget LED lights until finally pulling the trigger on Baja designs. The light output is unmatched and the “sport” versions are priced fairly for the quality the offer.
good luck with whatever you...
I ended up going with these:

I’m not sure if you’re longer over stock length, but they improved the braking feel over the rubber lines.
As of now my PSI is too high, I need to lower the bumps to under 100 psi and see how it does. I’m on bottom perch and only have 1/8” before hitting the bumps. I am planning on going mid perch next weekend so hopefully that’ll give me extra clearance. I’ll keep you posted once I make the mid...
This is what I use in my truck and my wife’s explorer. Cheap and keep the seats clean and stain free.

I’m running the ICON leaf pack without the included middle leaf. So far so good. Miles better over the stock leaf pack.
ICON kit includes the rubber bump stop spacers AND u bolts, something deaver does not include. Something to think about.
I like where you’re going with that! Just don’t forget longer brake lines. I installed the ICONs on my 2012 and went with +4” longer brake lines so there’s no binding at full droop.
Installed the Forged Offroad bump stop kit.
I posted a YouTube video walkthrough of the install too in the “suspension thread.”
I need to adjust the PSI but other than that installed was smooth.
I wanted to document my process in installing the front bump stop kit from Forged Off-road. Overall I’d give the install a 4 out of 10 in difficulty, (6 out of 10 if you have big hands) unless you have a frame cut bumper. The metal circle inside the frame is fairly hard to remove but that was my...
I’m using the builtright dash mount along with a RAM type lockable ball mount. Really solid and once in position it doesn’t move, unless you loosen the arm up to reposition.
