I went for Deaver +3s after my Eibachs went nose high by half an inch. Pricey upgrade but damn does it improve everything about the rear end. Especially noticeable when you've got a couple hundred pounds in the bed.
Just one note from my research for those looking to do a complete leaf pack...
Did you paint the beauty rings or blast them? It looks great.
I just bought a set of 19/20 beadlock wheels from a fellow FRF member and immediately ordered the FP beadlock rings for them. Now I feel like I should have just done what you did lol.
Just keep checking in on the garage sale and...
The stock capacity shows 2.75qts, from what I understand the FP diff cover ups the capacity to 3.25qts. When I filled the diff after the cover swap I only put in 3qts amsoil severe gear. The oil level is about ~1.5cm underneath the lower fill port.
Is it worth buying another quart of oil just...
Dang nice flip. It's funny right after that Porsche I bought a 1997 Ford explorer that was almost as horrible in terms of reliability. Glad I took another chance on Ford and bought my Raptor.
Man
I love the wheels. Turbo right? I bought a 1987 944S in 2001 as my first car. $5k for the car but probably cost me $10k+ after fixing everything wrong with it.
For some reason my dad let me talk myself into to buying it, instead of buying a civic like a smart 16 year old.
I'll go on record right now so everyone count it. The Raptor R is going to be the Gen2+ aesthetics this whole forum was hoping for, with an all electric drivetrain. Right at the last second of the official Ford announcement, they will admit "Raptor R" was just a nickname and the real model name...
This is the first time I've heard of this. I did my Eibachs / Deaver +3 installs last summer, ride quality has firmed up a fair bit but not crazy. If I'm honest I could do with the overall ride quality being a hair plusher than now. I guess the next time I head to the dealer for an oil change...
Do you plan on offroading often? The SVC route is probably the way to go if so.
Like a bunch of others here I'm running eibach coils and +3 Deaver pack. Enormous upgrade in terms of road-going performance, but I honestly feel the front end is a bit too stiff for legit high-speed trail running.
Nice tip, thanks for posting. Hopefully that's only part of the list though, I keep dreaming that Ford would finally offer a dark green like the latest Tacoma / Highlander.
I have the exact same truck minus the wheels, best vehicle I've owned. You are going to absolutely love it.
What's on the upgrade list? I have to say if I had those wheels I would install beadlock rings. That setup is still my favorite wheel aesthetically on a gen2.
All the walk around videos on that blue gen3 did for me was make me seriously consider 37s on my scab. I've got eibachs and Deaver+3s but I just can't get myself to start trimming.
That would be the right move. I've always been happy with the power but you really have to go up and get it. Seems like by the time my truck is pulling good and hard I'm at 80+mph
3.5 that makes 1050hp at the wheels?! Truly amazing what is possible these days. Thanks for doing this type of crazy stuff so we can all live vicariously through you.
