Checking in after a long hiatus for a house remodeling project. I'm in the same boat. This is the best I've found so far, but I havent pulled the trigger yet. If you get them, let us know what you think, install issues, etc...

    WTB'ers beware! Jinks7 is a Scamming P.O.S.!

I agree with all the comments mentioned. And I have no problem showing the egg on my face for letting my guard down and trusting a name on the computer without taking precautions for a brief instance. And maybe help some of the newbs here who may not have heard of this scam method used by scum...

    WTB'ers beware! Jinks7 is a Scamming P.O.S.!

Thanks gang. Ya it sucks balls. I can absorb the loss, $500, it's not that much. Just pisses me off that I fell for the con. I dont know how I could have the dickwad banned, he had no post count and just communicated once by PM to refer "his friend". Probably has another forum name already or...

    WTB'ers beware! Jinks7 is a Scamming P.O.S.!

Lesson learned the hard way! I was (still am) looking for gen 1 seat covers. I responded to a P.M. from him saying 'he knows a guy that has these' [email protected]. Also used the email name of Kelvin Mertens and an email of stevelavender12@gmail. I responded , he said he had them, even sent me...

    Shenanigans in Ouray!

Very cool! thanks for sharing. We did Ophir, Cinnamon, Imogene and some other off roading a few years back. Imogene was the most fun and it was really cool going into Lake City. Great trip and I'd love to get back there. We didnt do Engineer because at the time, people thought a Raptor was too...

Who's happy with their cordless ratchet?

Hand ratchets are tried & true, no doubt. But disassembly is where battery tools really shine (I still finish tighten by hand). I have 2 drawers in my tool box with different Pneumatic tools that are fast becoming dinosaurs. Sucks cuz they weren't cheap at the time. Progress?? Think I'll...

Who's happy with their cordless ratchet?

I have that stubby 3/8 impact too. Really nice and gets into some pretty tight spots. It runs circles on the old Snap-On 3/8 impact i used for years, but that was a pre-lithium battery tool. Milwaukee has really upped their game.

Who's happy with their cordless ratchet?

I have a MIlwaukee 3/8" and love it. 55lbs of torque is pretty impressive for a battery powered ratchet, does better than my air ratchet. But there are 2 models plus the long reach version. I have the 2557 model. Dont buy the basic model (2457), it just looks too fragile to me IMO

    GEN 1 Weak CV Axles

Ben Lucas, I hope you have better luck with AutoZone parts than I have. I've been burned too many times to ever go back there for anything but chemicals & (name brand) filters. Free replacement of the part is hardly a conciliation when the labor to install is extensive! That said, I bought a...

    Hawk Brakes....

To the OP, I have Hawk ceramic brakes w/stock rotors on my Gen 1. Major improvement over stock pads. They have a progressive feel (for lack of a better word) that comes on more on light braking, but panic stops are day and night better than stock.. They're not absurdly expensive and well worth...

What did u do to your raptor today?

Did a routine Oil change, and found ANOTHER SDHQ CV boot shot!! I put them on buying into their line that they are more flexible than stock and wont tear as easy, BS. CV boot swaps are no fun, not hard, just goopy and NOT a good time! Now I have 2 new SDHQ boots on the shelf that I'm stuck with...

What did u do to your raptor today?

Fun day for me, I had to replace a leaking a/c line from the compressor to the condenser. Wouldn't be so bad with a lift, but on a creeper is not a pleasant job. Second time for the same hose.

    Replacing the CV Axl help

I just did my cv boots today. Check youtube. Plenty of general videos there. You shouldnt need to change the IWE's out unless you are having problems (grinding noise) but you will need to unbolt them to get the axles out. If you are just swapping axles, thats not too bad of a job. How...

GEN 1 Shock Rebuild Foutz > SDHQ

If you dont mind me asking, what did Foutz charge for the front shock rebuild? Im overdue for a rebuild and was impressed with his shop when I saw it at the AZRR meet & greet last year.

    Oem Rotors and Pads

Your call. But I was pleasantly surprised how much better the brakes were with the ceramic pads.

    Oem Rotors and Pads

Why would you go back with stock pads? I went with Hawk ceramic pads and got much improved braking over the stock pads. No annoying squeak either. Are your rotors worn out? Can they be turned? If you haven't gone metal to metal, they should be able to be cut and save some $$

Rear Door Lock Broken Need input ASAP!!

Guesstimate, under $20 for the part, and normal labor rate is usually around $100-120/hr at a dealer. You can probably get it done cheaper at a reputable body shop. Parts cost will likely be the same (they bill out parts at list price), but the labor rate is usually much less.

Rear Door Lock Broken Need input ASAP!!

Appears to be just a linkage rod. Minimal parts cost and maybe 1-2 hrs labor. Shouldn't be too bad

GEN 2 What “new” Raptor-specific color should Ford roll out?

I'd like to see a brown/copper metallic color like Ford used to do on their older F150's. A version of the Forest green metallic would look great too!

    CV Half shaft replacement

Its not a bad job. Just jack up that side only and you wont lose any fluid. If you replace the boots on that shaft, get a pair from SDHQ. They are much more pliable than stock.
