Hope so for you. FP told me the same thing yesterday (11-12 through 11-18 delivery) and that mine was going by truck the entire way. Today my delivery changed to 12-3 to 12-9 and it was in Melvinville on a train and moving.
Keep tracking, they said it is common to change once it starts...
In my case no, since it was convoy to a rail yard. If you are close to the plant distance wise, probably so. Sawdust had said Ford uses rail for anything long distance. DFW is now confirmed a long distance.
Mine says convoy. FP said it was going convoy all the way yesterday, but it left the plant Monday and traveled all the way to a rail yard in Detroit to be put on a train. You may not know until it is a few days in transit. FP also said it is common for delivery dates to change once in transit.
Ugh, vehicle shipped Monday. Was supposed to be delivered by the 18th. I just checked the vehicle tracker and delivery just moved to December 9th.
Just talked with FP. As Sawdust predicted, it is moving by rail now, not convoy. They said it was moving and was currently in Melvindale, MI...
FP just confirmed mine is going by truck the entire way as well. It is shipped and should be delivered between now and the 18th. I asked if the dealer had any more info and he said they have the same access and to check back in a couple of days.
Thanks.
FP says it is on a truck, but I suppose that could just be to a rail yard. I will check with my dealer later. That is kind of a depressing update- I figured if it was on a truck I could be driving it by the end of the week. At least my expectations are properly set now.
Look at the positive- your delivery date did not change.
FP confirmed mine was on a truck and had left Dearborn. They did not have an updated ETA on mine. I would expect that most of the vehicles on my truck are going to the DFW area and it is not making 10 stops on the way.
Reading through old posts, Ramp 59 was bad news for the 2017s. Good thing it is two model years later! What does your Ford tracker say? Mine still says in production. I may try to call my dealer later.
Still stuck “in production” since 10/25. Still says it will be delivered by the 18th. We will see what FP says in the morning, but they have not really been any help to this point. Hopefully they do when it ships.
My truck does not display. On the Ford tacker, it still shows in production, which has been there since 10/25 and delivery on the 18th. I guess the positive is that even though it has not moved to in transit or awaiting to ship, the delivery date has not changed.
No one knows because Ford will not confirm or deny. Any answer is speculation.
I don’t think they are, but it would not surprise me if they did. I bought a 14 in April last year with 30k with the intention of buying a 19 if they offered a V8 or not, which is exactly what I did. The rumors...
