I work for a large software vendor and Ford is one of my customers. I’m on a call with them about once every couple of weeks. Almost without fail, the chip shortage or another part shortage comes up in passing conversation. Almost all of the OEMs are getting kicked in the balls by this shortage...
Yea, I won't deny I'll miss it. I'll get by with my Jeep for now. It's getting lifted and 37s this week. I'm leaning towards a Gen3 Raptor next year. For now I'll just bank the money saved on payments, gas, and insurance.
BTW, if anyone wants to buy my Decked or KBVoodoo Max Modular bed rack, they are for sale. i’ll have them listed in the Classifieds later today.
Decked $1000
Max Modular bed rack - $700
GiveMeTheVin offered me $65K for my Raptor so I decided to take it. I’m taking my Decked and BD lights off today and they’ll be coming to pick it up Saturday. I know others have gotten more but they wouldn’t budge claiming that they now have a glut of Raptors. Anyways, that leave me with $15000...
I’ve bought and sold a lot of cars in my lifetime and that doesn’t surprise me in the slightest. If I’m dead set on removing my mods, I will do so before taking it to the dealer. Sometimes I’ll tell them in advance that removing the mods is non-negotiable. However suspension mods are a bit...
GiveMeTheVin.com offered me $65K for my 2019 with 21100 miles. I have the 802a package, moonroof, and thats about it.
They claim that they have a glut of Raptors now because so many people came to buy them. Still, I owe $50K. I may sell and go down to one vehicle for a while. Then buy the Gen...
My Raptor hasn’t seen the inside of a car wash. I’ve got a foam cannon and other Adams supplies to get this beast clean. God knows I need every bit of this equipment to keep it clean. It gets dirty all the dang time.
I’m a Systems Engineer for a big software company. It’s basically a sales engineer job. 2019 was a massive sales year for me. I blew way past any earnings from previous years, in part because I helped close one of the biggest deals ever done for my business unit.
So I rewarded myself with a...
I love the utility of this but, from a looks standpoint, it leaves a bit to be desired. I would like it more if it accentuated or at least didn’t distract from the Raptor’s lines.
It's more of a rattle than a ticking and as FordTechOne said, it only last a couple seconds. It's loud too. Also, it only occurs when the engine is cold. So let it sit overnight and try again. You very likely won't here the rattle sound on a 2nd start.
Very very nice. I went with the KBVooDoo bed rack and an iKamper XCover for my overlanding rig. Except for it's size, the Raptor is an incredible platform for overlanding.
Traded in my Wrangler Sport for a Rubicon. Took it snow wheelin' a couple weeks ago. I'm just waiting on parts to give it a 3.5" Metalcloak lift and 37s.
I guess I lucked out a bit. I dropped my Raptor off to Groove Ford in Denver last Thursday. They waited until Friday to diagnose the Cam Phaser issue but they did confirm the problem.
Fast forward to today and I got a call that my truck is fixed and I can pick it up. I’m heading over there...
I'm not so lucky...
Or perhaps I am. I got a call from the dealer today saying the work is done, my Raptor is ready for pickup. I knew it would be relatively quick since they had the parts on hand. I'm going to go get her tomorrow.
I had the Falken Wildpeak AT3Ws on the Jeep I just traded in. Frankly they’ve been outstanding. I’ve taken them on numerous trails in Colorado and I’ve never gotten stuck or had problems getting over any obstacle. They’ve also been extremely good in snow and rain. IMO they are a better on road...
