Wasn't thinking about selling or anything but in the past month I've had two random people contact me about purchasing my raptor (they saw a TW post I had on here).

Curious with no more supply of the 2020s available has the price/demand increase?

Also, has anyone calculated how much they spent on their raptor? Never realized how much I've invested into this truck but ran the numbers for one of the potential buyers and pretty shock to be honest.

Raptor cost

Msrp $75,815

Shipping/transportation $1100

TAX/DMV. $7307

Linex $750

ADD front and rear bumpers with LED. $4200

Method wheels and tires. $2380

Retrax bed cover. $1300

Geiger springs and Deavers. $2145

Total $94,997 prior to labor.

Just remember on the secondary market, as frustrating as it is, your aftermarket additions are worth just about $0. But I’ve done the same, and it’s somewhat appalling what I’ve put into mine and it’s not even as finished as yours. Makes it tough for me to be happy being offered $60K for my 2020 802A with $10,000 in mods. But I knew what I was signing up for as I’m sure you did as well.

Yeah. I normally part it out unless the buyer wants the parts and is willing to pay for it.

just surprised I had people asking when I wasn't selling.

Yup, if I were selling my Raptor, the Decked system and all other accessories would be coming off and going on Facebook Marketplace. It’s pointless to keep them on for trade in or sale.

The local dealership’s sales manager just called me to ask about my 2014. They were “just calling looking for quality pre-owned vehicles”.

The squeeze is on! Hold on tight to your Raptors!

I told them I’d take a real Bronco (their add on the wait line returning the call said BRONCO SPORT; FOR THOSE THAT DON’T need TO GO OFF-ROAD:eek:) or Raptor R if they had one.

So you’re expecting to gain back value on a brand new truck, that looks exactly the same as one 4 years older, but has essentially waived its right/advantage of being brand new b/c you’ve already tainted the factory warranty w/ mods....mods that while many may consider an improvement, Ford does not, & have already voided both powertrain & suspension component claims for these same exact mods....

All that being said....I think you should be able to sell it for $70k+

I think it has increased. I bought mine at the height of the pandemic for a steal. At the time, three other dealers had two Raptors each.

By the time fall came around, there were no Raptors in sight. To this day, I haven’t seen another one available on a lot in my state.

I was on Auto Trader today and did a nationwide search. I saw some high asking prices for used Raptors. $84,900 for a 2020 w/13k. The other was $73,000 for a 2019 w/42k. Two separate Ford dealers were selling these.

GiveMeTheVin.com offered me $65K for my 2019 with 21100 miles. I have the 802a package, moonroof, and thats about it.

They claim that they have a glut of Raptors now because so many people came to buy them. Still, I owe $50K. I may sell and go down to one vehicle for a while. Then buy the Gen 3 Raptor or Raptor R.

I know a guy who traded his 2019 Raptor, 26k miles, grey, w/$15k in suspension MODS (materials only) and they gave him $68k. He wanted to remove the mods before he turned in the car, and they said no they wanted the raptor with the mods and that’s why they gave him the $68K. Another dealer offered him $68k without seeing the Raptor in person and that was without the mods.

I’ve bought and sold a lot of cars in my lifetime and that doesn’t surprise me in the slightest. If I’m dead set on removing my mods, I will do so before taking it to the dealer. Sometimes I’ll tell them in advance that removing the mods is non-negotiable. However suspension mods are a bit different IMO. If you don’t remove them before hand, I think the dealer is right to have them included. But that’s just my opinion.
