Here you go! Love the cover! I went with the smooth SE and have been running it slick, just cause I like the look and haven’t needed to use/install the cleats. I highly recommend the Crossbin as well. It really proves out the reasons for having a front opening cover especially combined with...
Hey John @Specialtyperformanceparts what do you have planned for the new Diode Dynamics SS5 lights coming out? I'm interested in running the CrossLink 6-Pod LED Light Bar. It looks like they are taking pre-orders now to ship 21 January.
Does anyone make or would be willing to make a bracket for repurposing of the OEM fogs for general use like for a bed light or an under the cover light or even an engine bay light? For those of us not able to take advantage of the Baja Designs buy-back program, or as an alternative, I would...
@RaptorActual I installed the Bullet Proof Diesel 3rd brake light mount and it works on the '21s even with the camera if you are looking for an alternative.
I bought it from joe1966fairlane on eBay who does the actual customization himself. He offers a bunch of different options. Here's a link to the one I got.
I agree. John's universal harnesses are genius, his prices are super competitive and customer service is second to none! I've called him on a Saturday during an install to ask questions and he took the time to pick-up the phone and answer them. I recently put together an a la carte selection...
Created a solution to solve the issue with the GMRS mount hardware interfering with the rear seat when in the down position using another piece of aluminum stock. The solution gets the mount below the rear seat bracket, eliminating the issue. The rectangular shape also makes the mount stronger...
You essentially get a few toes in there and push it down and it extends out from underneath the body on a scissor. I haven’t had any issues with them at all and I’ve got one on each side. They actually tuck-up at the same level as the running board, so they are pretty well protected.
Also...
Loving the DB! It’s usefulness especially with the crossbin in has been fantastic and looks great! I’m running it slick and haven’t had the need to install the bits and carry stuff on top. I like the look without them. The Bedstep also works well with it, but you’ll be cursing me on the...
Got the second of the two planned radios installed. Did an under the rear seat install of a Midland MTX-275 GMRS radio.
Used a piece of 3" x 36" aluminum stock cut down by a couple of inches to route between the two driver side rear seat mounts to use as a mounting bracket. I used a...
I haven't played around with the height of the seat, but I didn't raise it up at all to install it either. You can also angle the radio in the RAM to get more vertical clearance as needed.
The Bullet Proof Diesel dual antenna mount was also installed. It comes with two NMO mounts with 15' antenna cables and PL-259 connectors installed. The mount works great even the version with the camera in the light, not a problem. It just uses a bigger connector.
The BPD instructions are...
Here are some shots of the radio mounted under the passenger seat. The second picture shows the RAM mount attached to a cylindrical bar under the passenger seat and the supplied radio bracket. I had to drill an an additional hole in the bracket to connect the RAM ball. There is enough slack...
