This is just my opinion and I'm not trying to say it the final answer , just my experience.
I used to run covers on my hiems on my sand car , we have come to the conclusion that they would hold sand in them because they are not impermeable. Basically they can hold water and or dirt in and...
It sounds like thread sert. That would be a clean way to be able to bolt it place. Tim

I grew up in Detroit and most of my family and extended family either worked directly ot indirectly for the auto industry. You would be hard pressed to find a guy with more American cars. I drive American , buy my kids American and even buy American fir my company . I have probably 10 or 12...
I just read a thread that really got me thinking .....A person who says he is new to Ford and that his whole family drive Dodges .
We need to start a citizens activist group, how In 2014 , in the United States can we still have such barbarism ? People raising children to drive Dodges, and I...
That's too bad, I really have been watching for info about a larger pan. I did a larger cooler and extra heat exchanger but I have not towed my sandcar since then. Keep us up to date as the outcome . Tim
No bead locks. I'm not doing 40 mph power slides but normal driving I've never had an issue and I have even towed a couple sand cars out of the dunes at 13psi . Tim
It doesn't get anymore desert than that ! I've had mine in Glamis a few times , let the air out down to 13psi and they run across the sand pretty well. Tim
This same thing happened on my first Raptor. The sensor is in very vulnerable . My dealer warrantied it . What ever hit it was not something I saw. I was running with a little speed down a desert Trail when it happened , no real obvious reason for what ever hit so it must have just been a stone. Tim
I have a rigid on my sand car and half stopped working . They solder each board to the next maybe it is where the power wire enters the first board. It was pretty simple to work on. If you're handy maybe just peek inside. A lot of Allen screws but pretty simple. Jmho . Tim
Having been financing vehicles and homes since the early 90 ' s I say the opposite , some of you guys have crazy low interest rates . During the Carter administration when my mom was a realtor I remember home mortgage rates hitting 18 percent. While that was the crazy high end , it was common...
I don't work for Ford , I just have reasonable expectations. The issue , as you stated it was you're too cheap to send the shocks in. Again just buy new ones if you don't like the shipping option. As you state, it's just o rings and oil, just do it yourself if it's so simple. I had the shocks on...
That seems a bit harsh , you could always buy new shocks like you would have to on 99 percent of the vehicles out there . I don't See how ford didn't think it through, they offered a specialized vehicle with specialized shocks and you're complaining about shipping costs to ship them to the...
I bought my first one on November of 09 . There were not many if any around prior to that. I sat in one on the lot and said if you get me a white one with every option except the orange interior I will sign. Three days later I had one. Tim
